I judt got tulip seeds along with hyacinth seeds. Now I only need roses, cosmos, and windflowers

i got a black tulip from two pinks...

Two of my pinks made a red

I had two yellows make a black.

I can confirm I got a Pink tulip without any white tulips on the island. I think it came from either two Orange tulips or Orange combined with Red or Yellow.

Two orange tulips made me yellow tulips

Can confirm. I have also bred black Tulips from orange Tulips.

I've also had Orange x Orange make black

I am positive I got black tulips from Orange x Orange and have also got Purple from Black x Black. It's so hard figuring out these colors. I'm having a lot of trouble getting blue and purple windflowers.

Oddly on my island yellow tulips next to each other have bred black tulips and red tulips have bred pink. Neither have had any other tulip colours around.
