I got a orange windflower from a pink and a blue.

I also got an orange from a small group of pink and blue windflowers!

I also got a hybrid orange windflower from a bunch of pink and blue mixed patch...

There’s no way this is right. I got pink windflowers with just blue and red windflowers.

I bred a hybrid orange today idk how though.

The guide to purple is definitely, definitely wrong. I have >30 blues and >50 pinks breeding, and have for weeks, with multiple visitors watering, and no purples.

Purples should be 3 steps:
1: make blue (this is correct above)
2: blue x seed red = hybrid red
3: hybrid red x hybrid red = purple

I used to be able to crossbreed using this info.. but now I have random colors popping up instead

The flowers actually follow Mendelian genetics. This isn't necessarily wrong, just very simplified.

I got an orange windflower from two purple windflowers.

Update: I have now gotten red windflowers from the same blue and pink ones that gave me orange. The heck is going on here?

I will try and separate some to just blue and just pink patches once I get more of them, to do further tests.

I bred pink and blue windflowers and got an Orange one. Closest orange flower was at least 8 spaces away.

Same as Nixy, I also got purple from breeding blues

blue plus pink = purple

I managed to get a purple windflower from only blue windflowers, and I have no pink ones on my island, so I'm not so sure on how accurate this chart is, or if it's just another way that was overlooked.
