I've thrown at least 130 fish food bags into the river after 9pm and still no saddled bichir. What's wrong?

Hemispheres are correct. Finally caught one tonight while it was raining, no bait.

I’ve had no luck otherwise and I used over 100 bait so I don’t know if rain is a needed factor.

this one is december through march in the northern hemisphere and june through september in the southern hemisphere
