Strengths & How to Use

High capability as a Lead Pokemon

The combination of Choice Scarf and U-turn allows you to battle against the opponent stably. Knock Off is powerful and wouldn't be nullified by any types, so it is hard to be put at a disadvantage even if you hold the Choice Scarf.

Further increase stability by gaining the durability

If you distribute EV to Defense, you can not only ensure a minimum Attack and Speed, but also certainly withstand at least one hit of Dragon Darts by Jolly Dragapult, which is terastalized into Dragon type, or Mach Punch by Adamant Breloom. This makes it easier to use as a Lead, since it is less likely to be knocked down without being able to do anything.

Things to Keep in Mind

Beware of the opponent's Fairy Terastal

Knock Off that can be used repeatedly with its high Speed, is powerful, but if the opponent uses Fairy Tera type Pokemon, the damage will be halved and it may be defeated. If you are facing a Pokemon in Lead that has a high chance to use Fairy Terastal, use U-turn to take a look first.

Beware of Dragonite and Scizor

Meowscarada cannot defeat Dragonite and Scizor with powerful Fast Moves in a single blow. In addition, since they are faster than Meowscarada with Choice Scarf, it is necessary to prepare other durable Pokemon that are strong against Fast Move.
