Breeding is necessary when you are wanting a certain stats Pokemon. To get the closest Pokemon that you want, breeding is recommended than catching it in the wild. Especially when you are planning to battle online and wanting to win, you definitely need to know this.

With Certain Items You Can Change The Stats

Ability Capsule	If you use on a Pokemon that has 2 types of abilities, it will change to another different ability (Can't change to Hidden Ability) Purchase at Chansey Supply for $100000 └ It is an expensive purchase and you want to use it wisely

In this game, you will be able to buy such items in the shop, so breeding has become a lot easier. When breeding you want to mainly look at Ability and Gender. Individual & Nature can be changed with money that you have collected while progressing through the game.

When a Pokemon is born from an Egg, sometimes it has already learned a move that only can be learned from Leveling Up or from TMs. This is called an Egg Move which is heredity. This happens when one of the parents have remembered this special Egg Move prior to mating with each other.

Not only does the child learn the Egg Move when hatching, if you make it hold a Mirror Herb you can make it lateral inherit. If you have other Pokemon that have learned an Egg Move, you can let them play together at the picnic and the child has a chance that it will learn that move.

Will Inherit A Part Of The Parent's Stats

Once a Pokemon hatches from an Egg, a part of its stats matches the parent Pokemon. By catching a lot of wild Pokemon will be hard you can use items to bring out the Hidden Abilities and IVs. But the Tera Type does not get inherited.

Breeding A Shiny Pokemon

You may have a chance of getting a Shiny Pokemon from an Egg. When you do specific steps, you can increase the chance of a Shiny. You may capture Shiny Pokemon in the wild, but if there are Pokemon that can not be found in the wild, you can only get it by breeding.

Breeding Overseas Increases The Probability Of Shiny Pokemon

If the parent Pokemons has different citizenship (born in different countries), you will have a 6 times chance increase on getting a Shiny Pokemon. If you want a Shiny Pokemon, try exchanging Pokemons online with someone from another country.

What You Want To Prepare For Breeding

Prepare Your Parent Pokemon

When you are choosing to Breed, the first important step is choosing which Pokemon are going to be the parents. You need to have both parents, male and female, to be in the same Egg Group. You may also have Ditto as one of your parents, but do not forget, the child will inherit all of the female IVs and Pokemon.

You Can Use A Ditto For the Other

A Ditto is a special Pokemon, that can be a parent to any kind of Pokemon. It is very recommended to get the Ditto from a High Difficulty Tera Raid so it has high stats.

Sandwiches

Make a sandwich that has Egg Power. If you do not have Egg Power, there is a chance that the Parent Pokemons are not compatible and you will not find any Eggs. So it is recommended to make a sandwich.

You Can Eat Food From Restaurants In Town

In some cities, there is a fancy restaurant (Gastronomie en Famille), where you can order a menu that has an Egg Power of Lv 2. If you have not gotten a recipe of an Egg Power of Lv 2~3, this is a menu that is recommended to order.

Judge Function

Post Game, you will unlock the Judge Function. By having this feature, by just opening your Pokemon Box, you can see your Pokemon's stats and Individual Values.

Useful Items

There are several items that could be used when Egg Hatching. Especially the "Everstone" and "Destiny Knot" are a must-have items.

Shiny Charm

If you have the Parent holding a Shiny Charm, it will increase the probability of you having a Shiny Pokemon. If you want to get a Shiny Pokemon, it is definitely a must-have item, but to get the Shiny Charm, you must fill up your Pokedex, so it is a very long process and hard to complete.

How To Decrease The Amount Of Steps For Egg Hatching

Add a Pokemon that has an ability listed below, and you do not have to walk as much to hatch an Egg. It is highly recommended to have one of them in your party to make hatching easier.

List of Abilities That Will Make Hatching Easier

• Flame Body (Talonflame etc)
• Steam Engine (Coalossal etc)
• Magma Armor (Camerupt)

Best Way To Breed For An Egg

1. Put the chosen Pokemon in your party

Put only the Pokemon you chose in your party. If you don't want to change your Nature, give that parent an "Everstone", if you don't want to change your individual value, give that parent a Power type Item and it will eliminate not getting erased during mating process.

2. Make Food at the Picnic


Start a picnic, and make a Jam Sandwich or a food item that has "Egg Power". There are also other foods that you can eat ▲Such as food in a Town's Restaurant.

3. Leave them alone till you find an Egg

You do not have to do anything in the Picnic, just leave it alone. There is no problem if the Pokemon falls asleep. After a certain period of time, check the basket for Eggs.

Maximum Of 10 Eggs In Basket

The maximum amount of Eggs found in the basket are 10. If you want a big amount of Eggs, do not leave for a long time, but check the basket from time to time.

4. Put the Egg in your party and walk around till it hatches

Add the parent Pokemon back into the Box, and take out the Egg and add to your party. Once you have the Egg in your party, start walking around to hatch the Egg.

Tips	If you have a Pokemon that has the Ability [Flame Body], [Steam Engine], [Magma Armor] You can decrease the amount you need to walk to hatch an Egg. When you are trying to hatch, it is recommended to add a Pokemon with this ability in your party.

5. Keep Challenging Till You Get The Stats You Want

Once you get the ability and gender of the Pokemon you are aiming for, then you can stop this process.

6. With an Item, Change The Stats

Use the items below and create a Pokemon that is your ideal and the strongest that you want it to be. The Ability 〇〇 is hard to get so you want to choose which item you want to use wisely.

It Does Not Always Become a 6V

Attack	If you are not going to use a Physical Move, you want to decrease the Confusion damage so decrease your Individual Values
Speed	Sometimes having a lower Speed than your opponent is better ie: Trick Room Types or U-Turn Types

For some Pokemon, "The Best!" is not a perfect one, but "Not So Bad!" might just do it for you. You want to choose the right Pokemon for the Individual Value that best fits your situation.
