You can find a lot of Pokeballs with a red beacon-like glow on the field as you explore. You can get a random item, like Pokeball, Great Ball, & Ultra Ball, upon looting. It respawns over time so get it whenever you see one.

Aside from the glowing Pokeballs, you can spot something that has a subtle sparkle on the field. You can get a random item, including some Pokeball types, when you pick it up. Also, it respawns over time so get it whenever you see one.

You can find the auction of Porto Marinada in the marketplace at the center. You can bid for the price of the Pokeball and sometimes you can get it for a price that is cheaper than from Delibird Presents & Poke Marts. Apricorn Balls such as Fast Ball & Friend Ball can be found here.

Catching Pokemon For Pokedex Entries

Pokedex Entries

You can get rewards by catching different Pokemon to get more entries for the Pokedex. Press the the 'X' button to get the reward from Pokedex entries after reaching certain milestones. Entries from encountering are not counted so it is really necessary to catch if you want to get Pokeball rewards in this manner.

You can also get rewards by getting Pokedex entries from Instructor Jacq who can be found in the biology room of the academy at Mesagoza. However, you need to have a lot of entries before you can get rewards.

How To Use The Pokeball

Press "ZR" Button To Throw

Press "ZR" button to summon your top Pokemon. If the Pokeball hits a wild Pokemon when you throw it, you can initiate a battle. This is useful when you want to engage in a battle with a Pokemon that is not within your reach.

Press "ZR" Button To Lock

-To check the name & level
-To aim for a Pokemon from a distance such as floating at a higher altitude, on the water, on top of a tree, & etc...

Before throwing a Pokeball, that you are aiming to get. This is recommended when aiming for a Pokemon from a distance.

Press 'X' Button During Battle Then 'A' Button To Throw

Press

During the battle, you can catch a wild Pokemon by pressing 'X' button to select a Pokeball of preference and throw it by pressing 'A' button. Also, you can check the description of a Pokeball by pressing the 'Y' button.
