When you catch or breed Pokemon, their stats are randomly determined, but it is possible to breed them to have the best stats through careful selection. This will allow the same Pokemon to grow stronger at the same level.

Individual Value, Nature & Ability Can Be Changed

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the Individual Value and Nature of Pokemon can be changed with the use of items that you can purchase. Ability can also be changed if it is a Normal Ability. Overall, the process for Breeding is much easier if you have enough in-game money.

When breeding for better stats, repeatedly create and hatch eggs. Items that provide stats that can be inherited and those that increase hatching efficiency should be prepared in advance.

The higher the IV of the Parent Pokemon, it's more likely for Eggs to be born with high IVs. Using a Power Item will ensure that a specific IV will be inherited, so make good use of it when creating a Parent Pokemon with high IV.

Get A High IV Pokemon Through Breed

Efficient To Use A Parent Pokemon With A High IV Ditto

Ditto can be used as a replacement for a Parent Pokemon for all Pokemon that can produce eggs. If Ditto has a high IV, this makes the breeding process easier since you'll just need to breed the one Parent Pokemon.

Get Good Pokemon In Tera Raids

In higher difficulty Raids, you can get high IV Pokemon. In addition, you can use Mints and other items to improve the Pokemon further.

Tera Type Selected By Item

Pokemon that appear in Raid have Tera Types that could be different from their own types, but this is randomly selected from the 18 types so it's difficult to get the one you want. Use the Tera Shard you can get from Raids to change its Tera Type.

High IV Ditto Can Be Caught

Ditto with a High IV can be caught from 6 star Raids, so you can catch a Ditto with a confirmed IV5 or higher. It is very useful when it comes to breeding, since it can breed high IV Pokemon too.

Carefully Catch Legendary Pokemon With Ideal Stats

Legendary Pokemon can only be caught once, and you will be unable to breed them. If you want to catch a good Legendary Pokemon, you will need to do so when you catch them. When catching Legendary Pokemon, make sure to turn off Autosave and save before attempting to catch it. Nature cannot also be carefully selected.

Legendary Pokemon Koraidon & Miraidon Cannot Be Selected

Legendary Pokemon Koraidon & Miraidon's stats are fixed and cannot be selected. If you want to change their IV, you have to use items.

Also Applies To Paradox Pokemon

Paradox Pokemon, which can caught after clearing the game, are also unable to produce eggs. However, unlike Legendary Pokemon, there is no guarantee of their IVs and are completely random. That status should be changed through items.

Selecting Shiny Pokemon

Shiny Pokemon can be acquired with a very low probability from egg breeding or from the wild. To increase the chance of finding one, it is recommended to increase the probability of them showing up by breeding them or through Mass Outbreaks.

Except for Hidden Ability, items sold in stores can change all the other stats. Since it is easy to make ideal Pokemon, you can simply focus on earning money if you find it hard to breed for them instead.

Change The Effort Value That You Like

The Effort Value can be raised to 510 for all status, which a max 252 value for each individual status. In the game, only a rough graph is available. Be very carefuly not to make miscalculations for the values.

Effort Values can be lowered by 10 through the use of Berries. Use it when you want to soft reset your Effort Values.

Raise Levels & Evolve Pokemon

After you have finished increasing your Effort Value, you do need to level your Pokemon and have them evolve. Be aware that some Pokemon have unique requirements before they can evolve.

Teach Them 4 Moves

Training is complete when you've taught your Pokemon four moves. The Moves can either be learned through level, TM, or egg moves.

This time, the egg move can be inherited by having the Pokemon that has learned the technique and participating in a Picnic. The Pokemon must use a Mirror Herb and have one slot empty in their moves set. Also note that you will need to have Pokemon of different gender, but same egg group to produce an egg.
