All Pokemon used by Mela are Fire types, you may counter it by using Water/Ground/Rock type moves can be used to exploit their weak points. Have the advantage in battle by learning their weakness and using it against them.

Pay Attention To Armarouge's Energy Ball

Armarouge will use a Grass type Energy Ball. Water/Ground types take particularly heavy damage, so use Pokemon with high Speed to overwhelm them in battle.

Beware Of Drought Ability When Using Water Type

Mela's first Torkoal Ability "Drought" enables it to change the weather to Harsh Sunlight for five turns. When it is sunny, the power of Water-type moves is halved, so either override the weather or gain special powers with Terastal to compensate for the diminish of its damage power.
