Tyranitar do not appear in the wild, so catch Larvitar or Pupitar before they evolve. You can catch them at either of the above two locations. However, Larvitar and Pupitar only appear in Scarlet limited editions, so those with Violet limited editions can get it by exchanging it with other players using the trading board.

    Prepare Pokemon With Normal Ability

If Tyranitar is caught in a raid, there is a chance that the Ability is Unnerve (Hidden Ability). It is a waste to use Ability Patch to change it to Sand Stream (usual ability), so it is recommended to prepare a Pokemon with normal ability in advance.

If You Have Money To Spare, Buy Items and Strengthen Quickly

If you can afford it, the fastest way is to buy Vitamin in bulk to increase the Effort Value. However, each one costs 10,000 Poke Dollars, it would take about 50 units (500,000 Poke Dollars) to raise everything to the max.

Vitamins are available at Chansey Supply, and Feathers are available at Glitter in Casseroya Lake and auction in Porto Marinada.

How To Use Tyranitar In Raids

Procedure Guide
  1. Use Wide Lens
  2. Use Screech to down enemy defense on 1st turn
└Thunder Wave if you have enough Defense down.
  3. Use Stone Edge or Crunch after 2nd turn
  1. Use Wide Lens
  2. ItemEffect
Wide LensWide LensWhen you equip it, the hit rate of the move is increased by 1.1 times.

Use Wide Lens to make up for the hit rate of those moves that don't have a hit rate of 100, including Screech which is the battle's focal point, and Stone Edge, which has the highest firepower.

  3. Use Screech To Down Enemy Defense On 1st turn
  4. Use Screech on the first turn to bring down the opponent's defense; if three Screech attacks hit, the opponent's defense can be brought down to a minimum of six levels down.

Use Thunder Wave To Paralyze Your Opponent When The Defense Is Low Enough

If the other three players are able to use Screech to lower the Defense, use "Thunder Wave" to paralyze the opponent! Paralyzing allows you and your allies to have a bigger chance to survive, as the opponent has a 1/4 chance of not being able to move.

  5. Use Stone Edge Or Crunch After 2nd Turn
  6. If you can get the Defense down on the first turn, then use Stone Edge or Crunch to deal damage, depending on the opponent's type.

Can Also Use Cheer Depending On The Situation On Your Side

The time will be shortened if even one ally faints. To prevent the faintings as much as possible, use Heal up! to restore your allies health when their HP is low.
