What Is Foreign Breeding?

Create Eggs From Breeding Pokemon From Different Countries

overseas

Foreign Breeding refers to the creation of Eggs between Pokemon from different countries (languages) where they were caught. A Pokemon's nationality depends on the language set at the start of the game, so there is no need to actually go abroad or purchase a foreign copy of the game.

Shiny Occurrence Probability Is 6 Times Higher Than Usual

Foreign Breeding is 6 times more than the normal chance (1/683) of producing a Shiny Pokemon. Use it to reroll Starter Pokemon that can only be obtained from Eggs or Pokemon that are less likely to have Mass Outbreaks. The probability increases if you have a Shiny Charm

The offspring is the Female version's Pokemon.

For foreign breeding, prepare Pokemon with matching Egg Groups brought in from games with different languages. Either ♂/♀ is acceptable as long as it is an Original Trainer, but it is recommended to have a ♂ foreign Pokemon, as it is easier to change the ♀ to a Pokemon of your choice.

Ditto can produce Eggs without regard to gender/Egg Group (Non-Specified). It is recommended to have one because you can freely aim to hatch foreign Pokemon of your choice.

  4. You can play with your Pokemon

Create a Picnic once you have the foreign Pokemon, put it beside a compatible Pokemon so that they can breed and create an Egg. After a certain amount of time, an Egg will be made. It is possible to make Eggs wherever Picnic is available.

  5. Run Around Until The Egg Hatches
  6. Put Egg in Pokemon Team and Legendary Ride

Make sure that the Eggs are placed in the Pokemon Team to hatch them after a certain period of time. Since you can wait for the eggs to hatch by bringing them either by walking or riding on the Legendary Ride, it is recommended that incubation take place on the Legendary Ride, which is the fastest way to travel.

Also Available Through Surprise Trade Although The Probability Is Low

You can also obtain Pokemon from overseas through the Surprise Trade feature, which is a random exchange with a random player. You can't choose what you get, so if you get the same Egg type, you are very lucky.

  • Hatch Them Through Union Circle
  • Field walk in the Paldea region for up to 4 people

You can also play with foreign players with Union Circle (Multiplayer) and visit worlds of another language. With this new Multiplayer feature, you may travel and battle alongside up to 4 players in the Paldea region.

    Multiplayer / Co-Op Guide
  • Buy A Second Copy Of The Game And Start In Another Language
  • Language setting

This is quite tricky and time consuming but if you want to do Foreign Egg Breeding alone, buy another copy of the game and start from the beginning in another language. Even if the language changes, the things you can do in the game are the same, so you can progress the story even if you can't read the language. You can enjoy reroll and catching Pokemon as much as you like.
