Multiplayer Overview
Multiplayer Is Possible Between Different Versions
Play multiplayer with up to 4 players, even if you're playing on different versions of the game! You can play together with friends and other players even from far away through the Internet.
Differences Of Pokemon ExclusivesOffline Play Is Also Possible With Link Trade
In the Union Circle, you can choose to Link Trade with people nearby or through the Internet. Playing through the Internet will allow you to play with other players around the world. Note that to play via the Internet, you will need a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.
How To Multiplay
Press The X Button & Open The Poke Portal
To play Multiplayer in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can use the Poke Portal function. The Poke Portal will be available once you visit a Poke Center for the first time.
Select The Union Circle
After opening the Poke Portal, select the Union Circle. The Union Circle will allow you to play with other players.
Create Circle / Join A Circle

If You Are Hosting, Announce To Friends
As the Host that creates the Union Circle, you will have to tell your friends the 4-digit code for them to use and join your Multiplayer session.
Enter The Code To Join
To join a Union Circle, you will have to get the 4-digit code from the Host. Input the code in the Join screen to be able to multiplay!

Explore Paldea Region With Up To 4 People
In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you can explore the vast fields of the Paldea region with other players. Enjoy encounters with various Pokemon in unknown fields.
You Can Catch Pokemon From The Other Version
When multiple players are nearby, the Pokemon in the field will be synchronized, so if you are near a player with another version, Pokemon limited to that version may appear. You can communicate via chat and gather at the location where the desired Pokemon appears to obtain it.
Union Circle GuideChallenge Tera Raid Battle With Your Friends
Tera Raid Battle is a new feature wherein you take on powerful Terastallized Pokemon! Players can play with up to 4 friends to take on these battles and work together to defeat the Pokemon!
Tera Raid Battle Codes Search BoardEnjoy A Picnic Together
In Picnics, you can take a group photo, create Sandwiches, or show off your Pokemon. Also when your Pokemon plays with other trainer's Pokemon, you may find Pokemon Egg.
Picnic GuideTrade Or Battle Against Each Other
As in previous titles, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet allows players to interact with other trainers through Pokemon Exchange and Pokemon Battles.
