  2. Talk to Clavell and proceed before receiving your Starter Pokemon
  3. Change the 'Save' from the settings and change the cutscene to "Skip"
  4. Change to 'Manual Save' and save just before choosing your Starter Pokemon
  5. Select a Starter Pokemon, and when the cutscene is over, select Pokemon by pressing the 'X' button to check the status
  6. If you are not satisfied with the status, reset without saving
  7. Restart the game and repeat ⑥ and ⑦

    In the previous game, Pokemon Sword/Shield, the shinies were not available when the Starter Pokemon was received. Therefore, it is possibility that it is also NOT available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

    As soon as you start the game, proceed and talk to Clavell. Until the conversation is over, there is nothing you need to prepare for.

    After proceeding just before the selection part, press the 'X' button to open the settings, then change the "Autosave" to "No" and save manually. Please note that if the save is ongoing, you could experience interruptions.

  7. Reset Without Saving
  8. If you are not satisfied with the Starter Pokemon that you picked, end the game on the home screen. You can return to the part just before choosing Starter Pokemon so repeat this step until you are satisfied.
