Transferring Egg Moves with the use of the Mirror Herb is a method of transferring Egg Moves you want to learn from another Pokemon. Egg Moves can be transferred to other Pokemon regardless of gender, Egg group, or timing. Simply give the Mirror Herb to the Pokemon you want to learn an Egg Move of, and then hold a Picnic. You also need to have the Pokemon that has the Egg Move in the same party at the Picnic.

Transferring Egg Moves With The Mirror Herb

Walkthrough Guide
  1. Purchase the Mirror Herb in Cascarrafa (30,000 Pokedollars)
  2. Choose the Pokemon you want to learn the Egg Move
    └ Let the Pokemon hold the Mirror Herb
    └ Keep a slot open in their move set
  3. Prepare a Pokemon that has the Egg Move you want to give to the other Pokemon
    ※ Gender & Egg Group is not required
  4. Place both Pokemon in your Party then hold a Picnic
  5. Once the transfer of Egg Move is done, leave the Picnic and check
  1. Purchase the Mirror Herb in Cascarrafa
  2. MapLocation

    ※ Purchase from the Delibird Presents Shop

    The Mirror Herb can be bought from the Delibird Presents Shop for 30,000 Pokedollars in Cascarrafa. It's available immediately, not requiring any conditions to unlock it. This item is not consumed after use, so you only need to purchase one.

    ▲ Example: You want Ralts to Learn Destiny Bond (Egg Move)

    Choose the Pokemon that you want to learn the Egg Move. If you want to raise a Pokemon specifically for competitive matches, choose it. Once you have chosen the Pokemon, give the Mirror Herb to it and make sure to have a free slot in its Move list.

    Next, prepare another Pokemon with the Egg Move you want to give to the other Pokemon. Any Pokemon, no matter its gender, Egg Group, how it learned the move can be used.

  7. Hold A Picnic With Both Pokemon In Your Party

    Place both Pokemon in your party and hold a Picnic. You can do this by pressing the X button outside cities where there are no NPCs nearby and you're at the flat area. The Picnic ends but the transfer will be completed.

    ▲ Ralts now has learned Destiny Bond

    After the Picnic in step 4, the Transfer of Egg Move with the Mirror Herb will be completed. Stop the picnis and open the Move list of the Pokemon to check.

Can Egg Moves Be Relearned?

Eggs Moves With The Mirror Herb Procedure Cannot Be Relearned

If you make a Pokemon forget the Egg move they learned from the Mirror Herb, it cannot be relearned. You will have to do the Egg Move transfer again with the Mirror Herb, so it's not that much of a problem.

Inherited Egg moves can be relearned even if they are forgotten.

Special Moves That Cannot Be Learned By Leveling Up Or With TMs

Egg Moves are special moves that cannot be learned through leveling up or with a TM. It is called Egg Move because in the previous series, it was learned only when breeding was done with a Parent Pokemon that has it.

Transfer Egg Moves With Mirror Herb From Other Pokemon At Any Time

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, it allows the transfer of Egg Moves with the Mirror Herb at any time. This not only allows to inherit Egg Moves to Pokemon caught in the wild or through raids, but it also greatly reduces the difficulty of breeding.
