Strengths & How to Use

Surprise attack with Fairy Terastal is powerful

Heat Rotom is easy to lead the opponent choosing Dragon type that can halve your moves which have Same-type attack bonus. Using the Fairy type [Tera Blast] can defeat the Dragon type that the opponent has sent out.

Take a look at the opposing team by Assault Vest and Volt Switch

Heat Rotom's excellent dual-type and Ability [Levitate] make it resistant to strong types such as Steel and Fairy, which gives it an advantage when facing them. By forcing allies to switch in with [Volt Switch], it is easier to take advantage in Pivot Battles.

Things to Keep in Mind

Beware of Clodsire

The [Vest] Style Heat Rotom has no solution for a Clodsire with [Recover], even if it is terastalized into Fairy type. If you found a Clodsire on the selection screen, you must either not select a Heat Rotom or prepare a Pivot.

Use Terastal wisely

Heat Rotom's Fairy Terastal is hard to be put at a disadvantage, but its high speed and lack of recovery moves make it easy for opponents to counterattack with Terastal that they use after you.

Pokemon Team Compositions

PokemonReason
Mimikyu IconMimikyuIt can be easily used as an Attacker even after Terastalizing Heat Rotom. Heat Rotom is effective against Corviknight, which Mimikyu is not good at, making it a good match.
Corviknight IconCorviknightIt'd be stable to deal with Physical Attackers that [Vest Style] Heat Rotom is not good at, and the combination of [U-turn] and [Volt Switch] makes it easy to build for Pivot Battles.

Pokemon that do not depend on Terastal

Because of the versatility of Fairy type [Tera Blast], Terastal would be used more frequently. Therefore, if you build the team with Pokemon that are required to use Terastal other than Heat Rotom, you may not have chance to terastalize them. By building it with Pokemon that use Terastal less frequently, you can make full use of the strength of Tera Blast.
