For me it seemed to drop only weapons of the region above, like Zora Weapons underneath Zoras domain and Gerudo weapons underneath the desert. Not confirmed, needs testing.

I tap on each location and no list of the possible pristine weapons appear. Seems pretty useless since I am trying to get specific weapons.
