▶︎Vaporeon Build For Greninja Tera Raid

How To Use Vaporeon In Greninja Raids

Procedure Guideline
  1. Use Acid Armor on 1st Turn
  2. Endure until it resets Stats
  3. Use Acid Armor 3 times → then stack Calm Mind 6 times
  4. Attack with Stored Power
  1. Use Acid Armor on 1st turn
  2. Use Acid Armor on 1st turn

Greninja's Gunk Shot will deal damage to about 40% of Vaporeon's HP. First, use Acid Armor to reduce the damage by increasing the defense.

  3. Prepare for the Status Reset on 3rd turn
  4. Prepare for the Status Reset on 3rd turn

Greninja will remove the increase of your allies' stats when you have acted three times. In order to recover HP before the Stats Increase is removed, select "Wish" on the 2nd turn and "Hang tough!" on the 3rd turn.

  5. Stack in the order of Acid Armor 3 times → Calm Mind 6 times
  6. Stack in the order of Acid Armor 3 times → Calm Mind 6 times

After your stats are reset, start stacking again in the order of Acid Armor 3 times, then Calm Mind 6 times. When all the stats have been stacked and the stats are as shown in the image above, start to attack.

Vaporeon will set a barrier during the process

Vaporeon will set a barrier during the process

Greninja will put up a barrier even if you don't deal much damage. There is no use in attacking halfway through, so Vaporeon should concentrate on stacking.

    Beware of Night Slash

    Beware of Night Slash

Night Slash is a move that can easily make a critical hit. If you got a critical hit, the damage will be calculated ignoring the increase in defense, resulting in heavy damage. To be safe, make sure that Vaporeon's HP is not lower than 60%.

  7. Attack with Stored Power
  8. Attack with Stored Power

When you have finished stacking, use Stored Power to attack. Since your opponent has increased its evasion rate with Double Team and you need to break the barrier, you have to hit it many times to beat him. It is a game of time.

└ Great Tusk's Protosynthesis will activate
  2. Use Stonjourner's Gravity
  3. Use Koraidon's Screech
  4. Use Florges' Helping Hand on Great Tusk
  5. Attack Greninja with Headlong Rush
└ Before attacking, Weakness Policy and Symbiosis will activate
▼Visual confirmation by video
  1. With Koraidon make the weather into Sunny
  2. Koraidon make the weather Sunny

With Koraidon's Ability, make the weather Sunny, which will activate Great Tusk's Ability "Protosynthesis". This way you can half Greninja's Hydro Pump damage, and you can avoid being frozen with Ice Beam.

  3. Use Stonjourner's Gravity
  4. Use Stonjourner

Once you can move, use Stonjourner's "Gravity". By this, even if your opponent's avoidance rate is increasing, you do not have to worry your attack will miss. Again, it is important that Greninja's "Hydro Pump" will not miss.

Stonjourner's Ability Power Spot Is A Must

There are other Pokemon other than Stonjourner that has "Gravity". But this build, the Ability [Power Spot] is what helps defeat in One Shot so this slot can not be changed by another Pokemon.

  5. Use Koraidon's Screech
  6. Use Koraidon

Once you know Gravity is working, decrease Greninja's DEF by 2 levels with Koraidon's "Screech". During Gravity, the accuracy will by 1.6 times, so even if the evasion rate is increased by 1 level, you will not miss.

  7. Use Florges' Helping Hand on Great Tusk
  8. Use Florges

Use Florges' "Helping Hand" on Great Tusk and increase it's firepower. This move is not used against Greninja which will not effect it in a way, so you can do this step before 2 and 3.

    You May Change To Oranguru

You can use Oranguru in Florges spot if needed. In this situation, do not use "Helping Hand", but you will be using [Instruct] against Koraidon. So you must do this step after Step 3.

  9. Attack Greninja with Headlong Rush
  10. Attack Greninja with Headlong Rush

In the end, you will attack with Great Tusk's "Headlong Rush". Before Greninja will either attack with Hydro Pump or Ice Beam, so [Weakness Policy] will activate. With this, Florges' Ability "Symbiosis" will activate and its item will transfer to Great Tusk, which will let you defeat in One Shot.

Greninja Will Use Favorable Compatibility Moves

On the first turn, Mighty Greninja will use Favorable compatibility to your team. Due to this, Greninja will use either Hydro Pump or Ice Beam against Great Tusk.

  2. [Support] Attack Tinkaton with Swagger (2 people)
  3. [Attacker] Attack with Gigaton Hammer
  1. [Support] Use Screech
  2. Attack with Screech

Use Perrserker's "Screech" to lower Greninja's DEF. To defeat Greninja with a Single Blow in 1 turn, you need to "Screech x2 & Swagger x1" or "Screech x1 & Swagger x2". If you accidentally perform either one, 3 times, then you will not be able to defeat in a Single Blow so be careful.

  3. [Support] Attack Tinkaton with Swagger
  4. Use Swagger

You need at least 1 Perrserker to use "Swagger" on your teammate's Tinkaton. Its Ability is "Own Tempo", it can raise its ATK by 2 levels without being confused. Greninja's avoidance rate has been increased, so it is recommended to use "Swagger" 2 times to increase the rate of winning.

  5. [Attacker] Attack with Gigaton Hammer
  6. Greninja Single Blow Attack

Once you are all set up, then you can attack with Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer. "Steely Spirit" has been tripled, you may aim for a Single Blow.

If Misses Attack, Then Attack On 2nd Turn

If in the 1 or 2 steps, if at least 1 of the member's attacks has missed, give up on defeating in 1 turn. You can not use "Gigaton Hammer" consecutively,

  1. Attack Krookodile with Cubchoo
  2. Attack Krookodile with Cubchoo

  3. Use both Venonats to attack Greninja with Screech
  4. Use both Venonats to attack Greninja with Screech

  6. Attack Greninja with Krookodile

Once you have prepared all of the above, go ahead and attack Greninja with Krookodile's "Earthquake".

Tips For Farming Greninja

Stat Changes Will Be Nullified Around The 3rd Turn

Stats Will Be Reset Around The 3rd Turn

The nullification of Stat Change is not triggered by the amount of damage 7 Star Greninja has received, but by the amount of remaining time. You have to make a decision whether defeat Greninja before your Stat Changes get nullified or prepare the measures after the nullification.

Solution For [Double Team] Is Required If You Want To Farm Greninja

Double Team Is Required If You Want To Beat Farm Greninja

7 Star Greninja will use "Double Team" at the start of the battle to increase its evasion rate. Once the evasion rate is increased by one level, the accuracy of your move will be 0.75. Even a move with an accuracy of 100 will miss about one out of every four times, so the solution for Double Team is a top priority if you want to farm 7 Star Greninja.

Main Solutions

SolutionExplanation
HazeHaze can be used to nullify the opponent's evasion rate. The Attack Move Clear Smog"" has a similar effect, but it is not recommended because it may miss.
DefogA move that lowers the opponent's evasion by one level and never misses.
GravityGravity has the effect of multiplying the accuracy of each other's moves by 1.6. 1.6 x 0.75 multiplies the final accuracy by 1.2 so that other moves such as Screech can be used at the accuracy of 100.
UnawareUnaware can ignore the opponent's evasion rank. But note that the decrease of the opponent's Defense or Sp. Defense will also be ignored.
Keen EyePokemon with this Ability can ignore the opponent's increased evasion rate and inflict damage.
Various Never-Miss MovesMoves that never miss, such as Kowtow Cleave and Aerial Ace, can also ignore the evasion rate. However, there is no move that never misses and can exploit the weakness of Poison types.
Sacred SwordA move that can ignore the opponent's Stat Changes and inflict damage. Like Unaware, it can also ignore the evasion rate.
Various Stat Boost MovesHone Claws and Coil can also increase your own accuracy, which can cancel out the opponent's increased evasion rate in some way.
Lock-On
This ensures your next move does not miss that target.
No GuardOnly the owner of this Ability and the opponent's Attack will never miss to each other. But note that other allies' attacks still may miss.
