Equip Lightning Materia Before The Combat

Equip Lightning Materia Before The Combat

Weakness of Brain Pod is lightning. Before the combat, make sure to equip Lightning Materia for Cloud and Barret.

Equip Elemental Materia + Poison Materia On Bangle

Equip Elemental Materia + Poison Materia On Bangle

Brain Pod will use poisonous Toxic Waste and Noxious Whirl during the combat, which will reduce your HP gradually. To prevent this, equip Elemental Materia linked with Poison Materia on your bangle. The materia slots for those materias need to be connected so as to make immunity work.

Equip Lv.2 Cleansing Materia If You Have

Equip Lv.2 Cleansing Materia If You Have

"Stop" Ability of Brain Bot will put you in stop status. Having more than Lv.2 Cleansing Materia will let you have Esuna and it can remove the sleep status.

Protective Boots Is Effective Against Sleep Ability

Equip Protective Boots accessory is an alternative way to prevents you from sleeping. You can get Protective Boots in earlier chapters.

Stay Away When "Flashbang" Displayed

Flashbang of Brain Pod does AOE damage to its surroundings. When you see "FlashBang" red text on Brain Pod, make a distance between you and Brain Pod to avoid it.

Summons Avatars of Itself

In the middle of the combat, Brain Pod splits itself to a dozen of its avatars. In this situation, control Cloud and use his AOE attacks to deal damage to those avatars at the same time. Defeat all the avatars and original Brain Pod to end the combat.

You can't link Elemental Materia with Poison. Only Fire, Wind, Lightning, Ice
