How To Beat Rufus & Darkstar - Boss Fight Tips & Tricks
Focus On Darkstar First
Rufus counters your melee attacks. Try to focus on attacking Darkstar first.
Counter Darkstar's Corkscrew
Switch to Punisher Mode and guard Darkstar's Corkscrew move. You can counter it and break the link between Rufus and Darkstar. Darkstar's stagger gauge is easy to fill when the link with Rufus is broken.
Rufus Will Start Shooting Laser
When you halved Darkstar's HP, Rufus will start using two guns and his coins and shoot lasers. When this happens, their attack pattern changes & Darkstar will become support & Rufus will mainly attack you. You still want to get rid of Darkstar first to focus on Rufus so use magics from afar.
After Defeating Darkstar
After defeating Darkstar, Rufus becomes more aggressive. Your melee attacks will be countered unless you strike him while he is reloading. Rufus reloads once every two gun attacks.
You Can Dodge Guns Akimbo By Running
Instead of dodging Guns Akimbo you can run horizontally to dodge it.
Melee Attack After Casting Magic
Rufus won't counter if you melee attack right after you've casted magic attack. By using this combo, you don't have to wait for him to reload.
Rufus Staggers Instantly After Limit Break
Rufus' stggering gauge won't be filled with normal attacks. However, you can stagger him instantly by using Limit Break.
