Quest 18: Malicious Goons Walkthrough Guide
Malicious Goons Procedure Chart
| 1 | Speak with Madam M. outside of the hand massage parlor in Wall Market |

2. Goons Will Summon Tonberry
When you reach the Petal Lane area, you'll encounter the goons you're searching for. Instead of fighting you head on, they'll summon a Tonberry that you have to defeat.
3. Defeat The Tonberry
Switch Character When Tonberry Uses Doom & Gloom
When Tonberry uses Doom and Gloom, it's an instant one-hit kill. It's best to switch character and use a Phoenix Down on the downed character to bring them back into the fight.
Chef's Knife Can KO You
Tonberry's Chef's Knife move will deplete your HP bar like it's nothing. Dodge to avoid its stab or your character will fall unconscious.
You'll Get A Rematch Later On
Later on in the game you'll have access to a more challenging version of the fight (available only on hard mode). The difficulty is different, but the general tips vs. Tonberry still apply there, so for those of you struggling with the knife-wielding lizard, check out the link below for more info!
