You will speak to Madam M once you go into Madam M's Massage Parlor in Chapter 9. There, Madam M will ask you about which massage course you would like to pay for.

Course Might Affect Which Odd Jobs You Get
Which course you choose from Madam M. might play a hand in determining which Chapter 9 odd job route you go down. See below for a detailed explanation on how your massage choice could possibly affect the route.
Madam M Course Results

| Luxury Course (3,000 Gil) | Cloud gets the best massage. Cloud spaces out and acts weird after the massage. (Possibly Route B) |
| Standard Course (1,000 Gil) | Cloud gets a little rough massage. Cloud flexes after the massage. (Possibly Route B) |
| Poor Man's Course (100 Gil) | Cloud gets a painful massage. Clouds gets hurt after the massage. (Possibly Route A) |
Standard Course Is Fine
The massage courses will not affect the plot except some visual changes. Choose the Standard course if you want to go down route A to save some Gil.

2 Routes Depending On Your Choices
Chapter 9 is unique in that 2 odd jobs routes exist based on your interactions with the NPCs. There are no differences in the rewards. The routes are as follows:

Influenced By Prior Choices
Our team has tried, over various gameplay sessions, to figure out how the quest branching is determined, but were unable to find a conclusive answer, as there too many factors in play. It is even possible that choices from previous chapters might affect this.
That being said, in the chart below you can see two separate playthroughs we underwent where the routes diverged & the only difference was the massage we chose at Madam M's.

Get A Trophy For Clearing Both Routes
By clearing the quests in both of these routes, you can obtain a special trophy. Once you beat the game, you'll gain access to Chapter Selection, which you can use to attempt Chapter 9 over & over until you get the desired route.
Route Also Affects Cloud's Dress
Which route you go also affects what dress Cloud will be wearing later on in the story. Choose an alternating route to see all the variations in Cloud's dress!
