How to Defeat Crimson Dragon and Tips
Level Up and Prepare Your Gear

In 999 Nights, you can level up and farm better equipment simply by defeating enemies. If you're having trouble with the Crimson Dragon, take some time to farm enemies to improve your level and gear before challenging it again.
Watch for Ground Attack Indicators

Some of the Crimson Dragon's attacks create attack indicators beneath your character. Watch the ground as well as the dragon's movements so you can dodge incoming attacks in time.
Don't Force Critical Dodges or Counters

Many of the Crimson Dragon's attacks have a limited range or clearly marked area of effect. Instead of forcing a Critical Dodge or Counter, simply moving out of the attack's range is often the safer option.
Crimson Dragon Attack Patterns & Strategy
Sideways Swipe
This is a telegraphed attack in which the Crimson Dragon swipes with its arm. It has a short range and a long wind-up, so instead of attempting a Critical Dodge, you can safely avoid it by simply moving out of its attack range.
Double Bite
This attack consists of two consecutive bites, both of which are telegraphed. The Crimson Dragon lunges forward with each bite, giving the attack a longer reach than it appears. Even if you're at a distance, stay alert and be ready to dodge both attacks.
Tail Sweep Combo
The Crimson Dragon performs two telegraphed tail sweeps in succession. Since its tail has a relatively short reach, you can avoid both attacks by simply moving out of range instead of attempting a Critical Dodge.
Charge Attack
The Crimson Dragon raises both arms before charging forward. This attack can be countered with a Parry Attack. It may also perform an aerial version, briefly taking flight before charging low across the ground.
Pounce
The Crimson Dragon briefly hovers before quickly pouncing on its target. It can also perform this attack after flying, so stay alert whenever it takes to the air.
Wing Spin Attack
The Crimson Dragon gathers flames around its wings before spinning to attack everything nearby. This attack is telegraphed by its distinct flame-charging animation, so stay calm and time your Dodge to avoid the full-area attack.
Firebreath
The Crimson Dragon breathes a single burst of fire from its mouth. This attack is telegraphed, and the flames are not continuous. After successfully dodging the attack, you can immediately capitalize on the opening and counterattack.
Beam Sweep
The Crimson Dragon fires a beam that sweeps vertically from near to far. It can also perform this attack while flying, so watch its position and be ready to dodge as the beam passes.
Flame Shockwave
The Crimson Dragon creates a circle of fire on the ground before unleashing a shockwave within the marked area. It can also perform a wider version with a longer charge-up, giving you more time to move out of its range
Ground Eruption
After slamming its arm into the ground, the Crimson Dragon creates a line of circular explosions that erupt one after another. It can also perform a variation that sends the explosions out in three directions, so watch the pattern and move into a safe area.
Fireball Barrage into Charge
While airborne, the Crimson Dragon fires a rapid volley of untelegraphed fireballs before immediately following up with a charge that can be countered with a Parry Attack. Since the charge always comes after dodging the fireballs, learning the attack's rhythm makes it much easier to land a successful Parry.
Radiant Rain
The Crimson Dragon fires a beam straight into the sky, causing fire to rain down over the battlefield. This attack is not telegraphed. After each impact, a slow-moving area of effect spreads outward, so dodging into the approaching edge of the attack can make it easier to consistently perform a Critical Dodge.
Incineration Blast
After a brief charging animation, the Crimson Dragon leaps into the air before creating a massive explosion. This attack is not telegraphed and deals enough damage to defeat most characters in a single hit. As soon as you see the wind-up, prioritize escaping the blast radius instead of trying to attack.
