Sunward Island Unlock Conditions
Unlocked in Main Story Chapter 5
Sunward Island in NTE becomes accessible after progressing through Main Story Chapter 5. The ferry to Sunward Island is unlocked during Chapter 5, and since it becomes available early in the chapter, advancing the story is the quickest way to reach the island.
Progress Chapter 5 to Unlock Warp
If you reach Sunward Island by swimming before progressing through Episode Quest Chapter 5, you will not be able to unlock the Phone Booth.
How to Get to Sunward Island
Board Ferry at New Herland Port
You can travel to Sunward Island by boarding and activating the ferry at New Herland District Port.
New Herland District Port Location
The New Herland District Port (Stellar Marina) is located near the Phone Booth west of New Herland District. The large ferry that travels to Sunward Island is docked on the western side of the port.
You Can Also Swim There Directly
It is also possible to reach Sunward Island by swimming. Glide from the high ground at Unheard Shores to cover as much distance as possible, then swim toward the island. If your stamina runs out and you drown close enough to the island, you can respawn directly on Sunward Island.

Swimming Route on the Map
Since you can only respawn after drowning near the island, glide from the high ground at Unheard Shores while conserving as much stamina as possible before reaching the open sea. Once you're close enough, swim toward the island, and you will respawn there after drowning.
Activate Phone Booth to Unlock TP
After arriving at Sunward Island by boat, the Phone Booth near the center of the island will unlock, allowing you to warp there whenever you want. As mentioned above, the Phone Booth cannot be unlocked if you reach the island by swimming.
Return by Boat From Sunward Island
You can return to New Herland District by boarding the boat at Sunward Island Port. However, since the trip takes some time, using the Phone Booth to warp is the more convenient option.
Sunward Island Port Location
Sunward Island Port is located northeast of the Phone Booth, where the ferry from New Herland District docks.
