What is "The Guide"?
An Item-Locating Anomaly
In NTE, using "The Guide" summons it near your character, and it will point in the direction of nearby items. It functions regardless of elevation, so you can use it effectively in various locations.
It Can Locate Many Different Items
The Guide can locatevarious items found throughout towns, such as character enhancement materials and interior furniture. Since many items spawn in back alleys, be sure to use it while exploring those areas.

Assign to Shortcut
You can use The Guide from a shortcut. After obtaining it, it will be stored in the "Important Items" section of your inventory, so be sure to assign it to a shortcut.
Follow Where The Guide Points
After using The Guide, it will point toward a nearby item. The direction updates as you move, so keep checking it while you navigate.
Cooldown Is 60 Seconds Long
The Guide has a 60-second cooldown and disappears after about 30 seconds, so you'll need to find the item quickly. Even after collecting an item, it will continue to point in the same direction until it disappears.Wait for the cooldown to finish before searching for the next item.
What Happens When No Items Are Nearby
If no items are nearby, The Guide will disappear immediately after use. If this happens, move to a different location and try using it again.
