Debt Collector Features

Blade and Chain Strikes

The Debt Collector uses attacks that combine its blade and chains. It has a wide range of attack patterns, from quick strikes to delayed attacks, so learning its attack behavior is essential.

Cosmos Attribute is Effective

Weakness Cosmos

The Debt Collector is weak to the “Cosmos” attribute. Using this weakness allows you to efficiently reduce the enemy’s Break resistance, giving you an advantage in battle.

Debt Collector Best Team

Cosmos Team

For the fast-moving Debt Collector with a Cosmos weakness, a Blossom-focused team centered around Esper Zero is recommended. Including Hotori also helps you deal damage efficiently.

This is a team that can attack while placing many Vita Buds with Hotori's Support Skill. By also using Esper Zero's attacks, you can place a large amount of Vita Buds.

Debt Collector Battle Tips

Recognize Parryable Attacks

Parryable Attacks Signal

The Debt Collector has multiple attacks that can be countered with a Parry Attack, which can temporarily interrupt its aggressive offense. Make use of this opportunity whenever possible.

Watch for Warning Indicator

Attack Cues

The Debt Collector’s attacks range from quick to delayed strikes, and some can still hit you during Dodge recovery frames if you’re just mashing. Watch its warning indicator closely and respond accordingly.

Predict Major Attacks via Break Gauge

The special move used when its HP drops below about 40% will temporarily hide its Break Gauge before activation. Watch the gauge closely to prepare for this major attack.

Debt Collector Strategy: Above 40% HP

Slashing Wave

A simple, easy-to-handle attack that sends out a slashing wave with a horizontal sword sweep. A red warning indicator appears, but it is rarely used and may only appear at the start of the fight.

Triple Slashing Wave

Fires three consecutive slashing waves after a back jump. Only the second hit has no warning, but there is a delay before it lands due to the distance, so dodging the first hit lets you avoid the second as well.

Double Sweep

A double sweep attack using its blade and chain. All hits are telegraphed with warnings, but the attack covers nearly 360 degrees around the boss, so keep your distance to avoid getting caught.

4-Hit Chain Combo

A 4-hit chain combo with a warning indicator on every attack. Only the fourth hit has a delayed startup, so mashing Dodge can cause you to get hit. Pay attention to the cues and dodge accordingly.

Chain Dash to Leap Slash

After moving backward, it dashes forward at high speed with its chain and performs a slash. All hits are telegraphed, but if you mistake the initial retreat for an attack and dodge early, the following high-speed movement and camera shift can easily throw off your timing, so stay calm and react to the actual attack.

High-Speed Dash to Slash

An attack where it dashes at high speed as if to get behind you, and then slashes. It can be countered with a Parry Attack. The effect is very similar to the chain dash, but you can tell them apart by the speed and direction of movement. There is a slight opening on the slash, so calmly time your counterattack.

Uppercut to Chain Thrust and Spin

It performs an uppercut while jumping back, then thrusts its chain and uses it as a pivot for a spinning attack. The first three spins can be countered with a Parry Attack, and successfully parrying the third spin will knock it down. If you fail, it will follow up with three more high-speed spins, so it's recommended to stay close and use Basic Attacks to prepare for the parry.

Uppercut to Leap Spin Slash

After a back-jumping uppercut, it performs a leaping slash followed by a spinning charge. All hits are telegraphed, and the second attack can be countered with a Parry Attack. It may also chain directly from the spinning slash into the attack described below.

Spin Slash to 3-Hit Chain Combo

A combo that follows a spinning slash with a 3-hit chain attack, though both the spinning slash and chain combo is also used independently. The timing is irregular, with the first and third chain strikes being delayed and the second coming out quickly. If you continue attacking after countering the first hit, you're likely to be caught by the second, so pay attention to the attack rhythm and dodge accordingly.

Back Leap Slash

An attack where it leaps high into the air while performing an upward slash. In addition to being a standalone attack, it is often used to reposition before other moves. The startup from its crouching wind-up is very fast, so watch the motion itself rather than relying on the warning indicator.

Debt Collector Strategy: Below 40% HP

Flying Wheel to Giant Sword Slash

A special move with a unique cinematic that becomes available below 40% HP. It begins with a flying wheel launch (without a warning indicator), followed by a high-speed charge and a giant sword sweep. The sweep has a long wind-up, making the dodge timing difficult to judge, so be careful. After this attack, the Debt Collector gains access to its giant sword moves.

Shockwave to Giant Sword Slam

After releasing a charged shockwave (with a warning indicator), it follows up with a giant sword slam. The slam has a slow startup but strong tracking, making it difficult to evade. Energy erupts from the impact point afterward, so keep your distance to avoid being caught.

Giant Sword 2-Sweep to Slam

After two giant sword sweeps, it follows up with a slam slash. All hits are telegraphed, but the final slam also triggers an energy eruption, so be mindful of your positioning after it lands.

Giant Sword Continuous Combo

This special move combines many of its previous attacks into one continuous combo. The final sweep fires a continuous energy beam that spans the entire arena. Getting behind the boss is difficult, so repeatedly Dodge to keep up with the beam's lingering hitbox.

If You Get Behind It

If you attempt to move behind before the energy beam is fired, you can still be hit by the sword sweep attack and then get caught by the beam. The swing has no warning indicator.
