Zankou Performance
Zankou Basic Combat Strategy
- Build up Zankou's Hunt buff in Reality
- Switch to Illusion with Sanguine Dash
- End Illusion with Soulcross
Build up Zankou's Hunt buff in Reality
Start combat in Reality and use Zankou's Basic Attacks to deal damage while building toward her state transition. Use the 4th or 5th Basic Attack, Hold Basic Attack, or Dodge Counter to trigger Sanguine Dash and enter Illusion.
| Tip! | Time your Dodge Counters after Critical Dodges to maintain pressure while dealing additional Incantation DMG. |
---
Switch to Illusion With Sanguine Dash
Use Sanguine Dash after the 4th or 5th Basic Attack to instantly switch Zankou from Reality to Illusion. Sanguine Dash applies Heartwrench to the target and triggers Disarray, dealing heavy Break DMG over a wide area.
| Tip! | You can also use Sanguine Dash after a Hold Basic Attack or Dodge Counter. |
---
Apply Heartwrench During Illusion
Use Nightmare Waltz to apply Heartwrench and spread damage to nearby enemies. Zankou’s Delusion buff increases the CRIT DMG of DoT effects, making the Illusion State ideal for maximizing Heartwrench damage.
| Tip! | Hold Basic Attack to use Moonfall for additional damage. |
---
Use Soulcross to Return to Reality
Activate Soulcross as Illusion ends to trigger Oblivion and activate Bloodfeast Reverie, letting Zankou apply multiple Heartwrench stacks before using an empowered Inferno Flamenco without consuming additional Ultimate energy.
Basic Attack: Wildfire
Zankou swings her Cursed Blade for up to five consecutive attacks, dealing Incantation DMG.
Basic Attack: Flickering Shadow
Deals Incantation DMG.
While in Reality, Zankou passively carries the Hunt buff which boosts the damage she deals. After a Critical Dodge, press Basic Attack to trigger a Dodge Counter, dealing one instance of Incantation DMG.
Basic Attack: Moonfall
Deals Incantation DMG. Applies 1 stack of Heartwrench to the target on hit. DMG dealt by Basic Attack: Moonfall counts as follow-up attack DMG.
Basic Attack: Nightmare Waltz
Performs up to four consecutive attacks, applying 1 stack of Heartwrench to the target on hit. Every hit of Nightmare Waltz spreads the DoT effects on the target to other targets within range.
Critical Riposte: Void Step
Deals Incantation DMG.
Redirect Skill: Sanguine Dash
Deals Incantation DMG, and switches into Illusion. If cast while the skill icon is lit up, applies a Heartwrench DoT effect to the target on hit, and deals heavy Break DMG to targets over a wide area.
Redirect Skill: Soulcross
Deals Incantation DMG, and switches into Reality. If casts while the skill icon is lit up, deals massive DMG to targets across a wide area, plus activates Zankou's Ultimate: Bloodfeast Reverie.
Ultimate: Bloodfeast Reverie
Press to unleash Ultimate: Inferno Flamenco. If Bloodfeast Reverie is active, Zankou leads with Bloodfeast Reverie instead, applying multiple stacks of Vile Ash.
Ultimate: Inferno Flamenco
Press to unleash Zankou's Ultimate: Inferno Flamenco. If Bloodfeast Reverie is active, it takes priority and is cast instead. Applies multiple stacks of Vile Ash to targets. After successfully casting Ultimate: Bloodfeast Reverie, press again within a set window to unleash an empowered Ultimate: Inferno Flamenco at no Ultimate Energy cost.
