Boss Traits and Recommended Characters
Signature Shockwave Attacks

The Never-ending Arachne uses many attacks that send shockwaves spreading across the ground. Use jumps as well as dodges to evade these attacks while you fight.
Chaos Attacks Are Most Effective

The boss is weak to "Chaos." Attacking with characters that exploit this weakness chips away at its Brake Resistance more efficiently, so we recommend prioritizing them in your team to gain the upper hand.
Recommended Team

We strongly recommend a team built around Daffodill, who covers the "Chaos" weakness. To activate the Esper Cycle effects "Nova" and "Discord," round out the rest of the team with Psyche and Incantation characters.
Discord Team
This composition is built to make the most of Daffodill's Discord. It requires a few setup steps and demands technical inputs, but when executed successfully it deals tremendous damage.
Tips for Beating The Never-ending Arachne
Watch Out for Combo Attacks
The boss strings together many combo attacks that have no telegraph effects, so watch its movements closely and dodge accordingly. When a Parry Attack is available, go for it actively to interrupt the combo.
Back Off When Hard to Dodge

When the attacks intensify, pull back and focus on dodging. Shockwaves spread out to a fixed range and then disappear, so creating distance makes them much easier to evade.
Boss Attack Patterns (Phase 1)
Shockwave Attack
The boss attacks the surrounding area while sending out shockwaves. Watch for the visual effect, then use a Critical Dodge up close to the boss.
Lock-On Laser Attack
The boss fires three lasers in a row that track the player. Simply running keeps you out of harm's way.
4-Hit Combo and Shockwave
The boss fires off a shockwave at the same time as the fourth hit of its combo. A Parry Attack is possible on the third hit, so dodge the first two strikes cleanly and aim to counter.
Closing 4-Hit Combo
Missing the first Parry Attack rolls into a combo that is hard to dodge, so aim for the opening parry, and if you miss it, back off to create distance.
Close-Range Combo
This sequence makes it easy to chain Critical Ripostes, but watch out — the boss also mixes in fast-startup hits with no telegraph effect.
Moving Shockwave Attack
The boss circles wide while firing off shockwaves in succession. Jumps can clear them, but because the boss keeps moving and is hard to attack, we recommend closing the gap to set up a Critical Riposte.
The Never-ending Arachne Attack Patterns (Phase 2)
Laser and Shockwave Attack
The boss fires lasers along the ground while sending out shockwaves. Standing close means taking hits, so if your HP is low, back off and focus purely on dodging.
Barrage Laser
Watch the laser warning lines and move to a safe spot. You can also dodge by jumping with the right timing.
