The best way to reroll in NTE is by pulling on the "limited gacha." Instead of using pulls on the Standard gacha or weapon gacha, it is recommended to reroll for limited pickup characters.
First, download NTE from the store that corresponds to your device.

Right after starting, you will be asked to choose the protagonist's gender. You can change it even after selecting, so feel free to choose whichever you prefer.

Most cutscenes before the gacha unlocks can be skipped, with only a few exceptions. A warning will appear when skipping, but if you are already familiar with the content, prioritize saving time.

After selecting your gender and the cutscene ends, a short combat tutorial will begin. Learn the combat mechanics while using 3 characters.

The cutscene after the combat tutorial can be skipped, but the one following the next scene transition cannot be.

Follow the yellow markers shown on screen to progress the story. Nelly and others will guide you along the way, but you can save time by moving ahead and heading straight to the yellow marker location.

From here, you can move freely and open the Menu screen, but the gacha menu is still unavailable at this stage.

You will set your player name while signing a contract. Your name can also be changed later.

You will solve problems together with Mint. Here, you will progress while receiving a more detailed introduction to the game systems and mechanics, so make sure to keep up as you go.

There is a section inside the Vehicle where you control the game in first-person view. You can read lore by investigating objects here, but if it is not necessary, head straight to the quest marker.

The Picture Frame appears as a boss. In this battle, you can learn "Parry Attack" and "Break".

After defeating the boss and watching several unskippable cutscenes, you will arrive at the entrance of Hethereau. At this point, you can access the gacha feature and mailbox from the Menu screen.
When to Stop Rerolling
Stop When You Get a Limited Character

For rerolling in NTE, it is recommended to pull on the current limited board. Strong characters often appear in limited banners, so securing one early makes both combat and exploration much smoother.
Prioritize Limited Gacha Board
Non-limited characters are a lower priority when rerolling. Even if you already get a limited character and still have resources left, it is recommended to keep pulling on the limited gacha since your pull count carries over.
Should You Reroll in NTE?
Worth It If You Want a Limited Character
If you want to secure a character from the current limited gacha, rerolling is a viable option. However, since each reroll in NTE takes a long time, be careful not to overcommit to it.
Rerolling for Standard Characters Is Unnecessary

Rerolling for Standard characters is not recommended. Even if there is a specific character you want, you are guaranteed to get one through the Rookie Hunter Benefits on the Standard Board.
Rerolling for Arcs Is Not Recommended

You can also get Arc equipment items through the NTE gacha, but rerolling for them is also not recommended. Even if there is an Arc you really want, you can exchange for it at the Arc Shop using Tri-Keys.
