How to Reach Hidden Passages
Unlocked on the Second Playthrough
Hidden passages in 999 Nights become available starting from your second playthrough. First, complete your first playthrough, then begin a new one.
Chapter 7 (Chapter 6 Epilogue) Walkthrough
Examine the Crystals
Examining a crystal inside a dungeon will shatter it, allowing you to continue deeper into the area. This unlocks new paths to explore and opens additional dungeon shortcuts.
Hidden Passage Locations

Near the Entrance of Chocolate Volcano
At the fork in the road shortly after entering Chocolate Volcano, you'll find a crystal that leads to a hidden passage. Once you approach it, the crystal will shatter, allowing you to explore the lower levels of Chocolate Volcano.
Chocolate Volcano Crystal 1 Location
The crystal is located south of the second Bonfire from the entrance.
Before the Boss Area of Chocolate Volcano
On the path leading back from the Chocolate Volcano boss area, you'll find two crystals. Breaking either one lets you reach an area that normally requires repairing the elevator.
Chocolate Volcano Crystal 2 Location
The crystal is located east of the Bonfire before the boss area.
Boat at Amber Syrup Lake
Activate the wooden boat near the entrance of Amber Syrup Lake to access the area beyond the crystal. This unlocks a shortcut leading close to the boss.
Amber Syrup Lake Boat Location
The boat that lets you travel beyond the crystal is located south of the Bonfire at the entrance of Amber Syrup Lake.

Collect Additional Treasure Chests
Exploring hidden passages lets you open additional treasure chests and earn Warren Gold Coins and Mystery Buttons.

Level Up More Efficiently
Beyond each hidden passage is an area packed with enemies. Defeat them, then rest at a Bonfire to respawn them and efficiently farm EXP.
