What Is 999 Nights?
Permanent Single Player Fantasy Mode

999 Nights is a permanent single-player mode in NTE where you explore the "Warren Continent," a fantasy world separate from Hethereau. Since it is permanent content, you can play it anytime after unlocking it.

Unlocked in Main Story Chapter 7
999 Nights is unlocked early during the Episode Quest "Fighting with a Dragon."
Play Anytime From Mint's House

After unlocking 999 Nights, you can continue your adventure anytime by warping to Mint's house in New Herland District and interacting with the board on the desk. You can also warp directly to Mint's house from the 999 Nights section of the Event screen.
Uses Separate Levels and Equipment

Since you adventure using preset characters in 999 Nights, the levels and equipment of the characters you've built in the main game do not carry over. You'll start from scratch on the Warren Continent, allowing anyone to enjoy the mode regardless of their main-game progression.
Awakening and Resonance Carry Over

Awakening Effects and Resonance Effects (Ascension) carry over based on the current state of the corresponding character you own. Since Awakening Effects cannot be changed while in 999 Nights, exit the Warren Continent first if you want to adjust your Awakening setup.
New Content Unlocks Later

After clearing 999 Nights, you can replay it on a 2nd or 3rd playthrough. Starting from the 2nd playthrough, new Side Quests become available, and some enemies will appear at higher levels.
How to Progress 999 Nights
Progress Through Main Story Chapter 7

Following the quest guide in Story Chapter 7 will teach you the basic flow needed to complete your first full run. Start by progressing through the story to familiarize yourself with the 999 Nights system.

Clear the Four Dungeons

Clear the four dungeons in order, starting with "Chocolate Volcano." Your main objective is to defeat the boss in "Crimson Castle" to complete your first playthrough. Strengthen your characters along the way and prepare to challenge the Crimson Dragon.

Clearing Starts the Second Playthrough
After defeating the Crimson Dragon and clearing the game, your next run will automatically begin as the 2nd playthrough. Immediately after it starts, only "Chocolate Volcano" will be available, so explore the rest of the map before finishing your current run if needed.
Collect Mystery Buttons

You can obtain "Mystery Buttons" from Side Quest rewards and treasure chests found throughout the world. Since they can be exchanged for rewards such as limited Outfits, be sure to explore thoroughly and collect as many Mystery Buttons as possible.
Complete Limited-Time Event Missions

| Event Period | Until Aug 19, 2026 05:59 AM (UTC+8) |
During Ver.1.2, you can earn additional rewards by completing event missions. Since you can obtain Annuliths and Training Materials, prioritize clearing these missions while the event is active.
Tips for Progressing 999 Nights
Defeat Enemies to Level Up

Defeating enemies in the field and dungeons grants EXP to level up your characters. From the 2nd dungeon onward, there are minimum level requirements, so defeat enemies along the way to stay prepared.
Equip Better Gear

You can obtain equipment from enemy drops and from the Mysterious Fuzzy Merchant found throughout the world. Equipping stronger gear significantly boosts your characters' stats, making battles much easier.
| Tip! | Equipment has level requirements, so characters can only equip gear that matches or is below their current level. |
Prioritize Set Effects When Equipping Gear

When equipping gear, prioritize pieces that activate set effects. Even low-level or low-rarity gear becomes much more effective when a set effect is active, so during the early game, it's worth keeping Epic (Purple) gear or higher to make completing equipment sets easier.
Buy Items from Mysterious Fuzzy Merchant

You can purchase equipment and consumables from the Mysterious Fuzzy Merchant found at Camps and inside dungeons. If you're struggling against powerful enemies, don't hesitate to stock up on buff items.
Collect Rare Mushrooms

The Rare Mushroom, found near the entrance of Fuzzy Village on the Warren Continent, can be used as a revival item. It can be collected once per day, so be sure to pick it up regularly.

Save Gold Coins Whenever Possible

Saving as many Gold Coins as possible can improve your chances of obtaining end-game gear used in the 3rd-run Nightmare. With a bit of luck, you may even get Mythic-rarity equipment, so stock up on Gold Coins before entering the Nightmare.
Reach Level 50 Before the 2nd Run
Defeating the Red Dragon in the 1st run advances the story and begins the 2nd run, so aim to reach Level 50 beforehand. Since enemies become much stronger on Challenge difficulty, reaching Level 50 lets you immediately equip the gear that drops on Challenge difficulty, making your progression much smoother.
2nd Playthrough Progression Guide
Clear Side Quests

Starting in Week 2, all 999 Nights Side Quests become available. Since they reward valuable items such as Mystery Buttons, make it a priority to clear them.

Raise Character Level to 100

Enemy levels increase significantly in Week 2. Just like in Week 1, progress through the dungeons starting from Chocolate Volcano and continue leveling your characters to prepare for Week 3.
Defeat the Crimson Dragon

After completing everything available in Week 2 and strengthening your characters, defeat the Crimson Dragon to unlock Week 3. Once the Crimson Dragon is defeated, exit the Warren Continent and start Week 3 from the 999 Nights start screen.
Check Your Level and Gold Before 3rd Run

Before entering Nightmare difficulty in the 3rd playthrough, check both your level and the amount of Warren Gold Coins you have saved. By reaching Level 100 and stockpiling around 4,000,000 gold, you can immediately purchase the "Ultra Sparkle Jar - Nightmare" from the Mysterious Fuzzy Merchant at the start of the 3rd playthrough, giving you a strong head start on building your equipment.
3rd Playthrough Progression Guide
Upgrade Your Characters' Gear

In Week 3, it becomes much easier to obtain Gold (Legendary) equipment and accessories, as well as Red (Mythic) weapons. The additional effects on weapons and armor are extremely powerful, so choose your gear carefully to further strengthen your characters.

Complete Exploration Guide Missions

All Exploration Guide missions become available in Week 3. High-difficulty missions reward large amounts of Mystery Buttons and Warren Gold Coins, making it well worth aiming to clear every mission.
Special Mode Occurs Inside Dungeons

The Special Mode listed in the Exploration Guide can be completed by fulfilling Fluffy's requests inside dungeons or by defeating the Golden Pig.
Defeat the Secret Boss

Once your characters reach Level 100, you can challenge the secret boss "???" through a portal near Amber Syrup Lake. Although the reward is only a special weapon, it is the strongest enemy in 999 Nights, making it the ultimate challenge if you're confident in your skills.
