NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Shadow-N-Seek
Event PeriodJuly 17, 10:00 - August 19, 05:59 (UTC+8)

The Shadow-N-Seek event is now live! It's an asymmetric party mode where five Hiders and one Hunter are randomly assigned. There are three maps available for this event: School, Photo Studio, and Museum.

Play Prop Hunt with Other People

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Shadow-N-Seek Match

Shadow-N-Seek takes inspiration from the popular Call of Duty game mode, Prop Hunt. Essentially, it is a game of hide-and-seek where players are divided into two teams: Hunters and Hiders.

Shadow-N-Seek Win Condition

HunterThe Hunters must successfully capture all Hiders within the time limit.
HiderIf at least 1 Hider remains alive when the 2:20 timer ends, or if all Hunters' HP is completely depleted.

Earn Paper Cup Phones Based on Your Score

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Rewards Screen

Paper Cup Phones can be exchanged for various rewards in the Shadebound Shop. As a Hider, the amount you earn is calculated based on your team's victory and your survival time, while Hunters earn rewards based on how many Hiders they capture. Your performance and Total Score will determine the final amount of Paper Cup Phones you receive.

How to Play Shadow-N-Seek

Play as a Hunter or a Hider

*Click on the "Hider" or "Hunter" buttons below to swap between tabs!

Select a Prop and Hiding Spot

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Selecting a Prop

At the start of the match, Hiders have a 30-second preparation period where their movement speed is greatly increased. You will be given a choice of three props to use as a disguise. Choose a prop that fits naturally into the surroundings to avoid detection!

Place Stand-ins (Decoy)

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Decoy

Hiders have the Stand-ins (Decoy) Skill, which allows them to create a false copy of themselves. Skillful use of this ability can serve to confuse Hunters, buying more time for the Hiders, and even dealing damage to the Hunter that takes the bait.

Evade and Taunt the Hunters

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Hiding in Plain Sight

Hiders cannot attack during the match. Your only defense is moving, repositioning, and planting stand-ins. If a Hunter is getting too close, use your increased mobility to slip away. You can also use your Taunt skill to emit a Taygedo sound to tease the Hunters or bait them into a trap!

Search for Hiders

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Found Hider

The main objective of the Hunters is to locate all Hiders before the time runs out. Look for conspicuously placed objects or use your scan skill to find and shoot all of the Hiders.

Use Your Scan Skill

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Green Scan
Green Scan
NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Red Scan
Red Scan

Hunters have a Scan ability, which displays a green radar under their character. When within range of a Hider, the radar changes its color to red.

NoteThe scanning radar also reacts to Stand-ins (Decoys), so double-check the environment before striking!

Don't Shoot Recklessly

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Missed Shots

Hunters have a maximum of 40 HP. Shooting the wrong object (a normal background prop) costs you 1 HP. If your HP reaches 0, you will be eliminated. Carefully observe suspicious objects before firing to avoid losing HP unnecessarily.

Tips for Hiders and Hunters

*Click the "Hider Tips" or "Hunter Tips" buttons below to switch tabs!

Blend In with the Environment

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Hider

As soon as you receive your three prop choices, quickly check which one blends in best with your surroundings. For example, place a slippery sign near a mop or choose another prop that naturally fits the area. The more convincing your disguise is, the less likely Hunters are to notice you.

Use Obstacles to Evade Hunters

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Hider

If a Hunter approaches while you're in a dangerous spot, you don't always need to run to another area. Instead, use pillars, walls, or other large obstacles to circle around them and stay out of their line of sight until they leave. Only relocate if you're certain your disguise has been discovered.

Use Stand-ins as Decoys

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Stand-In

Stand-ins can be detected by Hunters just like real players, making them excellent decoys. Place one a short distance away from your hiding spot to lure Hunters in. They'll often waste both their Scan and shots on the Stand-in, allowing you to stay hidden safely.

Look for Props That Don't Belong

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Hunter

Hiders often disguise themselves in a hurry, which can cause clipping or awkward placement. Watch for objects that are floating slightly above the ground, clipping into walls, or simply look out of place in the environment.

Scan While Staying on the Move

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Hunter Red Scanner

Don't stand still when using Scan. Activate it while running through hallways and rooms to cover a much larger area. Keep an eye on the indicator; when it turns red, you'll know a Hider is hiding somewhere nearby in that room or corner.

Save Your HP for Berserk Mode

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Hunter Berserk Mode

Avoid making random guesses early in the match and wasting HP. Try to stay alive until the final 20 seconds, when Berserk Mode activates. During Berserk Mode, shooting no longer consumes HP, letting you freely check every suspicious object without risking elimination.

Shadow-N-Seek Rewards

Earn Annuliths and a Frame

NTE Shadow-N-Seek Hunter Rewards

In Shadow-N-Seek, you can earn Paper Cup Phones based on your team's victory and your individual performance. Exchange them at the Mall for Annuliths, frames, upgrade materials, and other rewards.
