How to Dodge and Parry Guide

This is a guide on how to perform Dodges and Parry Attacks in NTE (Neverness to Everness). See how to do basic Dodge, Critical Dodges, Critical Riposte, Parry attack & controls!

Basic Dodge Methods

Press the Dodge Button

Dodging in NTE can be used by pressing the Dodge button. While you can use it multiple times in a row, be mindful while dodging, as dodging consumes stamina.

Stamina Recovery

The stamina consumed by dodging recovers over time. When your stamina is low, try to create distance from the enemy and allow it to recover.

Critical Dodges Tips

Dodging an Attack Will Trigger A Critical Dodge

Successfully dodging an attack triggers a "Critical Dodge", giving you temporary invincibility. To perform a Critical Dodge, you need to dodge just before the enemy's attack lands.

Dodge When You See the Red Flash

Enemies in NTE emit a red flash of light at the moment they attack. You can perform a Critical Dodge by pressing the Dodge button when this red flash appears.

Use the Enemy's Movements As A Cue

Many enemies start their attack animation before the red flash appears. By observing the enemy's movements, you can also predict when the attack will come.

Critical Ripostes Tips

Use Basic Attack Immediately After A Critical Dodge

Using a Basic Attack while a Critical Dodge is active will trigger a "Critical Riposte." The duration of a Critical Dodge is short, so be ready to attack immediately after a successful dodge.

Reduces Break Resistance

Landing a Critical Riposte triggers a special effect and greatly reduces the enemy's Break Resistance.

Parry Attacks & Tips

Land an Attack During the Enemy's Warning Indicator

When an enemy is about to unleash a Special Move, a red circular effect will appear. Landing a specific attack, like a Basic Attack or a skill, during this window will trigger a "Parry Attack."

Stun Enemies

A successful Parry Attack blocks the enemy's attack and stuns them. Furthermore, your character will gain a certain amount of Cycle Rate and automatically perform a Critical Dodge.
