Talk to the Old Man

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Old Man Who Loves Retro Music

You can hear about Screaming Airwaves in NTE from the "Old Man Who Loves Retro Music" at the Record Shop in Bridge Crossings. No speech bubble or marker is shown above the elder, but you can talk to him simply by approaching him.

Bridge Crossings Record Shop

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Exile on Main St.

The Exile on Main St. Record Shop is in Bridge Crossings, located just east of the Wertheimer Tower.

Head to Green Wall Slope

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Screaming Waves Clue

The elder mentions that he "lost his radio at Green Wall Slope," so travel there and search for it.

Find the Record Player Anomaly

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Record Player Anomalies

Following the elder's hint, search Green Wall Slope for a moving Record Player Anomaly.

Moving Record Player Location

The moving Record Player appears in the southwest area of Green Wall Slope, at the position shown in the image.

Search Near the Anomalies

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Screaming Airwaves

Screaming Airwaves can be found lying between the planters at the spot where you fought the Record Player enemy.

Search During Daytime

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Night Time

The radio is not highlighted in white even when you get close to it. This makes it very hard to spot at night, so change the time to daytime before searching.

Pick It Up to Obtain the Item

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Obtaining Screaming Airwaves

Pick up the radio between the planters to obtain Screaming Airwaves.

Report to the Elder (No Reward)

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Reporting to the Old Man

After obtaining Screaming Airwaves, you can talk to the "Old Man Who Loves Retro Music" at the Record Shop in Bridge Crossings to report that you found the radio. There is no special Reward, and you simply keep the radio either way, so reporting back is optional.

How to Use Screaming Airwaves

Set It as a Shortcut from Inventory

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Added to Hotbar

Screaming Airwaves can be used from the Shortcut menu. Once obtained, the Item is added to the Key Items section of your Inventory, so set it to a Shortcut from there.

Useful in "Lonely Player" Commission

NTE (Neverness to Everness) - Lonely Player

The Anomaly Commission "Lonely Player," which can be accepted inside Clement Academy, includes a mission where you must play the piano following a given pattern. Using Screaming Airwaves there lets you replay the demonstration as many times as you like, and the keys light up while the demo plays, making the mission much easier.
