Lonely Player in NTE is an Anomaly Commission you can take on at Clement Academy, located east of Wertheimer Tower. Invite all 8 puppets scattered around the school, then head to the Music Hall to complete it.
Some Areas Are Easier with "Screaming Airwaves"

In Lonely Player, some areas are easier to progress with the "Screaming Airwaves" Anomaly obtained from another mission. The mission that rewards this Anomaly isn't located inside Clement Academy, so we recommend getting it ahead of time.

Lonely Player Walkthrough Chart
Puppets are scattered across the school between 20:00 and 7:00. However, some progress requires talking to students during the day, so adjust the time as needed while you advance.
Disappearing Puppet: Courtyard

- Head to the Courtyard
- Invite the Puppet Before It Disappears
Make your way to the courtyard on the north side of the school.
The puppet on the courtyard will disappear when you approach, so dash up to it and invite it before it vanishes. If it disappears, walk away and it will reappear after some time.

One good trick is to stand where the puppet disappeared and use the Time System to reset the clock to 20:00. Once you exit the menu, you'll be able to invite the puppet without any hassle at all.
Hide and Seek: Gymnasium

- Head to the Gymnasium
- Attack the Entrance
- Attack the Puppet Near the Net
- Attack the Puppet at the Center of the Volleyball Court
- Attack the Puppet on the Catwalk
- Attack the Puppet on the Stage
- Attack the Surroundings to Invite the Puppet
Make your way to the puppet inside the gymnasium.
When you perform an attack on the entrance, a puppet will appear and then vanish, opening the way through. Enter the gymnasium and find every puppet in order.

Talk to the student near the gymnasium and hand over the diary found in the courtyard to receive Empathy Eye Drops. Using these in the gymnasium lets you see through the puppets' line of sight, making them much easier to locate.

Once inside the gymnasium, attack the puppet hiding near the volleyball court net on the stage side.

Attack the puppet hiding around the center of the volleyball court.

Attack the puppet hiding on the catwalk.

Attack the puppet hiding at the center of the stage.

The final puppet is hiding behind you, so perform any kind of attack, and it will appear.
Race on the Grounds Walkthrough

- Head to the Puppet on the Grounds
- Cross the Goal While Keeping the Puppet in Sight
- Invite the Puppet
Make your way to the puppet on the school grounds.

Once you select Start Race, head for the finish line while staying in your lane and keeping the puppet within view. If it leaves your sight, you'll need to restart the race.

After crossing the finish line, invite the puppet waiting there to clear this area.
Basketball Court Walkthrough

- Head to the Basketball Court
- Approach and Invite the Puppet Before It Escapes

Head to the basketball court and step inside.

Once you enter the court, your body will float at fixed intervals and the puppet will move, so close in and invite it before that happens.
Classroom Puppet Hunt Walkthrough

- Head to the Hallway in the Center of the School
- Enter the Classroom at the Far End of the Hallway
- Inspect the Puppet on the Desk
- Inspect the Puppet on the Shelf
- Inspect the Puppet Inside the Storage Cabinet
- Break the Vase and Inspect the Puppet Inside
- Continue to the Back and Invite the Puppet
Make your way to the center of the school and enter the hallway through the open door.

Chase the puppet down the hallway and step into the open classroom on the right.
As you approach the door at the back of the classroom, a puppet will appear on the central desk. Inspect it, then open the rear door and continue on.

After moving to the next classroom, inspect the puppet on the shelf to your right as you enter.

Go to the next room, open the storage cabinet in the far right corner, and inspect the puppet inside.

After inspecting the puppet and moving on, attack the vase on the shelf at the back to break it, then inspect the puppet inside.
Move on to the next room and invite the puppet waiting in the room to clear this area.
Hallway Puppet Walkthrough

- Talk to the Occult Research Club Student
- Head to the Stands at the Grounds
- Head to the School Rooftop
- Head to the Basketball Court
- Head to the Hallway with the Occult Research Club
- Use Cheese in Front of the Puppet
During the day, head to the Occult Research Club on the north side of the school and talk to the student inside about cheese.

Once the student moves, head to the stands at the grounds and speak with them. A question will be posed, so choose "Time Stop" to continue.

Once the student moves, head to the rooftop in the northwest of the school and talk to them. A question will be posed, so choose "Control small Oddities" to continue.

Once the student moves, head to the basketball court and talk to them. A question will be posed, so choose "Don't use it, work harder on our own" to obtain Cheese.
Once you have the Cheese, set the time to night and head to the hallway containing the Occult Research Club.

Once inside the hallway, use Cheese near the puppet and invite the one that appears.

Cheese can only be used once! So, if you used Cheese too early by mistake, an alternative is to use Skia's Shadow Hound Chase Skill (E). Sneak in from outside the school building and approach the puppet while concealed. However, if you don't have Skia on your roster, you'll need to cancel the commission and start all over again.

- Inspect the Black Crack on the Wall
- Inspect the Crack on the Stands Wall
- Inspect the Crack in the Gymnasium
- Inspect the Crack on the Rooftop
- Inspect the Crack in the North Classroom
- Set the Time to Night and Inspect the Puppet
- Pick the Right Cup Three Times in a Row
- Invite the Puppet

On the south side of the school, near the student in a tracksuit, inspect the black crack in the wall. Choose "Knock" three times, then choose "Leave" to advance the conversation.

After your conversation with Peepy, inspect the crack in the wall on the south side of the stands at the grounds.

Head to the gymnasium and inspect the crack in the wall.

Head to the rooftop on the north side of the school and inspect the crack in the wall.

After inspecting the crack on the rooftop, head north through the door beyond it, then inspect the crack in the third-floor classroom containing the bread and cake.
Once you have inspected every crack, set the time to night and inspect the puppet that appears in the classroom.

After the puppet shuffles the cups, have Peepy in the wall crack tell you the answer and pick the winning cup. You can also figure out the first and second rounds on your own.

After answering correctly three times in a row, invite the puppet to clear this area.
Piano Melody Quiz Walkthrough

- Head to the Third-Floor Classroom
- Loop Through the Classrooms to Continue
- Play the Melody in the Right Order
- Invite the Puppet
Head to the hallway by the Occult Research Club and take the staircase on the west side up to the third floor.
After entering the classroom through the open door, circle around the central pillar to move into the next room.
Once you reach the classroom with the puppet, inspect the piano and play the same melody back in order.

Using Screaming Airwaves, obtained from the Elder's mission at the Record Shop in Bridge Crossings, makes the keys glow white when the example melody plays. It also lets you replay the example as many times as you like, so you can listen repeatedly and tap the keys a few at a time.

After matching the melody sets three times, invite the puppet to clear this area.
Head to the Music Hall

After clearing every area, head to the Music Hall on the west side of the school. Interact with the puppet standing on the stage to complete this anomaly commission!
