How to Change Time & Weather
Change It Through the Time System
The time and weather in NTE can be changed anytime through the Time System in the Menu. You can adjust the time by sliding the white circle icon, and change the weather by selecting the weather buttons at the bottom.
Unlocked After Buying a Vehicle
The Time System is unlocked by progressing through the tutorial "Legendary Driver" and purchasing a Vehicle.
Unlock Snow Through the Side Quest
By default, you can switch between two weather types, sunny and rainy. Snowy weather is the only type that must be unlocked by clearing the Side Quest "A Retrograde Poem for You."
Benefits of Changing Time & Weather
- You can switch to the scheduled Racing time anytime
- You can take on Anomaly Commissions that only appear at specific times
- You can change the scenery when taking photos
- You can earn the Achievement "Wind Walker"
Useful for Joining Races
In Races (Challenge), each opposing team can only be challenged during a specific time window. By adjusting the time through the Time System, you can join Races immediately without waiting for time to pass.

Weather Affects Vehicle Handling
On rainy or snowy days, using standard tires can make handling less stable, increasing the risk of slipping while cornering. This is especially important during races, so consider using the Time System to switch the weather to sunny or purchase rain- and snow-compatible tires from the Vehicle Modification Shop.

Take on Time-Limited Commissions
Some Anomaly Commissions only appear at specific times. For example, the Anomaly Commission "Headless Rider" only appears around midnight, so you will need to adjust the time to trigger it.
Change Scenery for Better Photos
The time of day changes outdoor brightness, while the weather adds effects like rain or snow, meaning both time and weather directly affect the scenery and atmosphere. Using the Time System is recommended if you want better photo opportunities.
NPC Behavior Also Changes
NPC appearances and behavior also change depending on the time and weather. At night, foot traffic becomes lighter, and on rainy days, you may see NPCs holding umbrellas or moving at a light jog.
Earn the "Wind Walker" Achievement
By changing the weather using the Time System, you can earn the Achievement "Wind Walker." You will receive Annulith ×10, so if you have not completed it yet, make sure to use the Time System and claim it.
