Bell Location
Found on an Eastern Hill
The Strange Tales bell is located on an observation deck towards the top of a hill on the eastern side of Sunward Island. If you are heading there by vehicle, there is a fork in the road along the way to the tunnel, so make sure to check the map. Alternatively, you can also get there by cutting straight through the forest or climbing up the cliffside.
How to Complete the Strange Tales
Ring the Bell
By selecting "Ring the Bell," the Strange Tales will be completed and you will earn Footprint Points.
Simply Approaching Does Not Count
Initially, you can earn Footprint Points just by approaching, but this is due to the Oracle Stone located above the bell. Note that the Strange Tales will not be completed unless you ring the bell.
Ringing the Bell Changes the Weather

Ringing the bell changes the weather near the bell. Moving away from the bell reverts the weather on the rest of the island back to normal.
Weather Change Might be Irreversible
At the time of writing, we have not yet discovered how to return the weather near the bell to normal. While the weather on the rest of the island behaves normally, the weather near the bell reflects the weather you left it as after ringing.
