Table of Contents

How to Raise Character Levels

Use Hunter Guide EXP Materials

NTE Edgar Character Screen

To level up your characters in NTE, you need to use specific EXP items known as Hunter Guides. Keep in mind that leveling up also costs a significant amount of Beetle Coins, so ensure you are farming enough in-game currency alongside your EXP materials.

Hunter Guide EXP Values

EXP Material EXP Granted
Rising Hunter Guide 1,000
Senior Hunter Guide 5,000
Elite Hunter Guide 20,000

Farm EXP at Houdinii's Magic Stage

NTE Houdinis Magic Stage Map Location

If you need to stock up on a large amount of EXP materials, you can do some challenges in Houdinii's Magic Stage. By spending your Stamina, you can claim generous EXP rewards. You can run this stage as many times as you want, provided you have enough Character Pixels! We highly recommend farming this stage whenever you have stamina to spare.

Stamina Guide

Buy EXP Materials at the Mall

NTE Mall Mode Shop

You don't just have to spend Stamina to get Hunter Guides. They can also be purchased directly from the Mall, earned by completing tasks in the Exploration Guide, or claimed from Hunter Rewards as you naturally progress through the main game.

How to Ascend Characters

Break the Level Cap

NTE Skia Character Screen

Once a character reaches their current maximum level, they cannot earn any more EXP until they are Ascended. Ascending a character consumes specific materials to unlock a new level cap and provides a massive permanent boost to their base stats, such as HP and ATK.

Hunt Anomalies for Ascension Materials

NTE Exploration Guide Haunted Record Player

Ascension materials are primarily obtained as drops from defeating specific enemies out in the world. Since different enemies drop different ascension materials, you will need to hunt the exact targets required for your character.

Quick Tip! To easily find the enemies you need, open your Exploration Guide, navigate to the Enemy Shadow Elimination tab, and use the "Track" feature to pinpoint Anomaly spawn locations directly on your map!

Buy Materials in the Mode Shop

NTE Yearning Delusions and Suspended Delusions

If you are struggling to get the right drops from enemies, you can also purchase Ascension Materials directly from the Mode Shop within the Mall. This requires Peril Hunt Medals, a special currency earned by completing high-risk commissions.
