Sea Prisoner Boss Location
Spawns in the New Herland District

Sea Prisoner in NTE is a boss that appears in the New Herland District area of Heathereau City. Defeating it for the first time allows you to Fast Travel to Sea Prisoner's location directly from the map, allowing for easier repeated runs.
How to Unlock

Sea Prisoner is locked behind the Deep Blue Sorrow Anomaly Commission. If you're having trouble spawning the boss, ensure that you have already completed its related commission.
Commission Requires a Car

Deep Blue Sorrow cannot be cleared unless you are driving a four-wheeled vehicle in the Nautili Tunnel. Therefore, make sure to buy a car before heading to the Nautili Tunnel.
Sea Prisoner Boss Rewards

Defeating Sea Prisoner rewards you with a "Coal Lump's Gift," which contains "Tear of the Sea," an item needed for character development.

Sea Prisoner Boss Counters
Powerful, Telegraphed Attacks

Sea Prisoner uses many attacks from outside your field of vision, such as diving attacks that erupt upwards, so be attentive during the fight. While these attacks hit for a lot of damage, they are easily telegraphed since the gap between the animation and the hit detection is wide.
Weak Against the Anima Attribute

Sea Prisoner is vulnerable to Anima.
Attacking with characters that can exploit its weakness allows you to efficiently trigger Breaks, giving you an advantage in combat. Prioritize forming your team around this weakness.
Best Team Composition for Sea Prisoner

We recommend a team centered around Nanally to exploit the Anima
weakness. Additionally, including Lakshana and Cosmos characters to trigger Remora
and Blossom
would be ideal.
Blossom Team
| Attacker | Cosmos | Lakshana | Psyche |
Nanally | Esper Zero | Hathor | Fadia |
This formation increases the number of hits with Nanally's additional attacks to deal damage. Each time Esper Zero's Redirect Skill CD triggers, swap into Nanally to trigger a Blossom, then use Nanally's Support Skill to increase the number of hits and boost your damage output. Fadia is also included in the team as a source of sustain.
Sea Prisoner Boss Fight Tips
Fight Elusively

While Sea Prisoner deals a ton of damage, there is a noticeable gap between the telegraph and the impact. Additionally, some attacks can be evaded simply by stepping away, so fight elusively by focusing on evasion and positioning.
Parry Attacks to Stun the Boss

Sea Prisoner's charging attack is a special move, and a Parry can be triggered by landing Basic Attacks or skills during the attack. Since you can read the attack long before it lands, try to correctly time a Parry to create an attack opening.
Dodge When Out of Range

Sea Prisoner sometimes attacks from outside the arena with projectiles and tsunamis. During situations where the boss is out of range, stop attacking and focus on dodging.
Sea Prisoner Phase 1 Battle
Diving Wave Walls
Sea Prisoner rises into the air and dives downward, creating wave walls
that extend from either side of the boss. While Sea Prisoner is in the air, actively aim for a Critical Dodge. Alternatively, you can evade the waves by standing directly in front of the boss as it lands.
Slamming Geysers
Sea Prisoner slams its body into the water, after which water geysers erupt in front of it. Aim for a Critical Dodge when the water splashes appear. The geysers have a smaller hitbox than their animation, so you can avoid them by sticking to the boss or by keeping a little distance.
Breaching Geysers
When a vortex appears on the water's surface, Sea Prisoner will breach and create geysers in a circular pattern. It can be hard to time this attack, so watch the vortex closely before dodging. The surrounding geysers can be avoided by keeping close to the vortex.
Homing Volley
Sea Prisoner arcs in the air while creating water projectiles that home in on the player. Each projectile has a different impact timing, so repeatedly press the dodge button after the first projectile lands.
Diving Surge
Sea Prisoner arcs in the air before diving below the surface and surging towards the player. If you hit it during the charge, you can parry the attack and stun the boss. The parry window is wide, so calmly wait until the boss approaches before parrying.
Aerial Dive Bomb
Sea Prisoner rises into the air before diving forward with great force. If you dodge right as the boss impacts the water, you can trigger a Critical Dodge.
Sea Prisoner Phase 2 Battle
Anchor Toss
This attack occurs when the boss hits 75% HP. After a short cinematic, Sea Prisoner will toss an anchor from the air. You cannot attack the boss during this time, so dodge just before the anchor impacts the water to avoid it.
Geyser Vortex
This attack sends vortices toward the boss from outside the map perimeter, then they expand again outwards. The vortices have a narrow attack range, so dodge as they approach your character, then move away and avoid the final dive attack.
Tsunami Attacks
Two large waves rush in from outside the map. Waves also come from your left and right, but concentrate on dodging the wave coming directly at you. During this time, you can't attack the boss, so we recommend staying calm and focusing on dodging.
Water Orb and Volley
A large water orb expands and explodes after a short delay, then projectiles fire toward your character. The orb has a small hitbox, so just step back a little. Then repeatedly press the dodge button for the subsequent projectiles.
Whale's Song
Sea Prisoner emerges from the water and shouts in this attack. Staying too close and attacking will likely lead to taking continuous damage, so keep your distance and wait for the attack to finish.
Water Trap
Walls appear around the player and projectiles fire from the wall, followed by projectiles from below. Close-range attacks are useless, so continuously dodge in time with the missile impacts and focus on evasion.
