Sunward Island in NTE features several parody references, primarily inspired by island-themed works such as Summer Time Rendering and Summer Pockets.

Summer Time Rendering (Bicycle at the Breakwater)

At the breakwater in the northern residential area of Sunward Island, you'll find a fallen bicycle leaning against the seawall that closely resembles the one from Summer Time Rendering. The bicycle only appears on your first visit, so be sure to check it out when you first arrive on Sunward Island.

Summer Time Rendering (Tetrapods)

The tetrapods along the western coast of Sunward Island resemble the coastal scenes featured in the Summer Time Rendering anime. Although the surrounding buildings and number of tetrapods differ, the overall atmosphere, including the shape of the coastline and the placement of the tetrapods, has been faithfully recreated.

Steins;Gate (Time Machine)

After the Ver. 1.1 update, the Radio Hall is still present, but the scene where the time machine crashes into it can no longer be seen.
