Imaginadough Boss Mechanics
Stretches and Splits Viscous Body

Imaginadough in NTE is a boss that uses its viscous body to stretch and retract its arms, while also splitting into multiple bodies. The difficulty of the fight changes depending on its current form, so understanding its mechanics is key to defeating it efficiently.
Chaos Attacks Are Effective

Imaginadough's weakness Attribute is set to "Chaos." Attacking with its weakness Attribute lets you break through its Break resistance more efficiently, giving you a significant advantage during the fight.
Best Team for Imaginadough

Imaginadough has a unique mechanic where it splits after being Broken. Its attacks become most dangerous when the split bodies merge back together, so preventing them from reuniting should be a priority. A team built around Lacrimosa, who can exploit the Chaos weakness, is ideal for balancing both Break efficiency and damage output.
Discord Team
This team is built around Lacrimosa and can activate Discord. By running two dedicated buffers and maintaining their support effects, the team can consistently maximize its damage output.
Tips to Defeat Imaginadough
Watch Out for Wide-Range Attacks

Imaginadough uses many wide-reaching attacks by stretching and retracting its arms with its viscous body. Most of its attacks cover a large area, so stay alert and be ready to reposition throughout the fight.
Breaking It Causes It to Split

Breaking Imaginadough causes that individual to split into two. After splitting, damaging either body will reduce the HP of the main body, so focus your attacks on one target and continue splitting it whenever possible.
Split Bodies Can Merge Back Together
The split bodies do not stay separated permanently, they can merge and return to their original form. Imaginadough is most dangerous after reforming following a Break, so try to prevent merging by splitting the smaller bodies further or defeating them before they can merge.
Area Attacks Are Effective

Since damaging either split body also damages the main body, wide-area skills that can hit both targets at the same time effectively deal double damage. Whenever possible, position yourself to hit both bodies with a single attack.
Attack Patterns Opening - Break
Spinning Scatter
This is an unwarned attack used at the start of the battle. Imaginadough spins rapidly in place, scattering viscous matter around itself. The attack range can be difficult to judge, but staying at a distance is generally safe. If it closes in, dodging toward the boss makes it easier to trigger a Critical Dodge.
Consecutive Slam
This attack consists of four consecutive slams followed by one large swing, for a total of five hits. While all attacks have a warning indicator, the middle hitboxes are slightly offset and can be tricky to dodge. Use the viscous residue left on the ground as a guide for your dodge timing.
Slam into Spin Attack
After performing a large wind-up swing and slam, Imaginadough immediately follows up with a spinning AoE attack. Although the attack is telegraphed, the spin covers a large area. Be careful when attempting to counter the initial slam, as it is easy to get caught by the follow-up spin.
Viscous Projectile into Explosion
Imaginadough fires viscous projectiles from both hands before detonating the ground. Only the first hit is telegraphed, and the attack sequence begins quickly. Watch its movements closely to avoid the third explosion, which occurs without any warning.
Leap Press
After a brief charge-up where it stretches its arms as if gathering strength, it leaps into the air and performs a press attack. A warning appears beforehand, and while the descent is fast, the charging animation is easy to read, giving you enough time to prepare and Dodge.
Double Leap Press
A two-hit attack where it performs a press attack, burrows underground, then immediately leaps back out for a second press. A warning is displayed, and there is a brief moment where it hovers in the air before landing, making the timing relatively easy to read and react to.
Headbutt
An attack that combines a headbutt with a scatter of viscous matter. A warning is displayed, the startup animation is easy to recognize, and the attack range is fairly narrow, so a well-timed Dodge is usually enough to avoid it.
Attack Patterns After Break (Split)
Combination Attack 1
One split body swings its arms vertically and horizontally before both bodies launch a simultaneous leap attack. Warnings appear on hits 1, 3, and 5. The attacks come out quickly, and the hitboxes are slightly offset, making them difficult to dodge consistently. Creating distance is the safest option.
Combination Attack 2
The two bodies perform slams and pull-in attacks with staggered timing before merging and unleashing a spin attack. Every hit is telegraphed, but the attack covers a large area. Even after the spin ends, one body immediately charges forward, so stay alert until the full sequence is over.
Combination Attack 3
A powerful sequence where the two bodies alternate between slam attacks and leap presses before finishing by slamming one body into the ground. None of the attacks are telegraphed. The final hit has a larger range than it appears and deals heavy damage, so create plenty of distance before it lands.
Leap Press into Combo
A four-hit combo that follows a press attack with two arm thrusts and a double-handed slash. All attacks are telegraphed, but the thrust hitboxes can feel slightly offset, making the Dodge timing fairly strict. Watch the timing closely and react carefully.
Arm Sweep Slash
It swings its arms to perform two omnidirectional sweep attacks, then follows up with a spinning attack. All hits are telegraphed. The final spin extends its arms outward, giving it noticeably more range than the first two attacks.
Scratch Swipe
A two-hit attack where it extends its arm and swipes horizontally as if scratching. A warning is displayed before the attack. After finishing, it leaps backward to create distance, so you will need to close the gap again if you want to continue attacking.
Spin Slash
After stretching its body during the startup animation, it performs two full spinning attacks that strike in all directions. A warning is displayed. Because its body is fully extended during the attack, the range is quite large, so maintain a safe distance or be ready to dodge consistently.
Attack Patterns After Remerging
Arm Attack into Ground Explosion
A four-hit combo consisting of a sweep, a thrust, and two ground explosions triggered by stabbing its arm into the ground. All attacks are telegraphed. Watch out for the fast thrust and remember that the explosion occurs twice after the charge-up animation.
Consecutive Arm Attacks
A sequence of extended-arm sweeps, a slam, and a pull-in attack, followed by two consecutive spin attacks. All attacks are telegraphed. Knowing that the two spin attacks always come at the end makes it easier to stay composed and respond properly.
Arm Attack into Movement Attack
It performs two sweeping arm attacks, slams both arms into the ground, then uses them as a pivot to pull its body forward and attack. All attacks are telegraphed. Since the boss moves a considerable distance during the sequence, be careful not to lose track of its position.
