How to Steal Without Getting Caught

How to Shoplift in Stores

1	Look for the item you can take in stores.
2	Go near the item and select "View" or "Pick Up"
3	Choose the "Take Option" *At this point, it doesn't matter if the clerk is looking.
4	While the store clerk is not watching, select the option to take it. Example "Take it as if nothing happened"
5	Exit the store without the store clerk spotting you
6	Once you are outside the store and the mark above your head disappears, it means you've succeeded.
7	You can go back to the store if there are any more items you want to get.

Stealable Items are Displayed Differently

Items that can be stolen in stores are displayed differently. Some may be hard to spot since they blend in with the usual display. It's recommended that you walk near shelves and wait for the "View" option to appear

1	Placed near the basket in front of the register
2	In front of the microwave near the register
3	Different item than what is on the shelf
4	Same items on the shelf, but is displayed differently
5	Found on the floor

Obtain Items From Store

When you steal, you can obtain items that are usually being sold in the store. If you want to know what the item you want to steal does, you can check it by talking to the store clerk to see its price and details.

There are Mystery Stealable Items

At cake shops or toy shops, items are placed in packaging. You will not know what the item is until you've stolen it.

After Stealing, Hide Behind Shelves

When you steal an item, don't immediately head out the door especially if you're far from it. Hide behind a shelf or somewhere in the back first. Keep an eye on the clerk and only move when they are distracted or are not looking.

Taking Items Guide

Need to Pay if Caught

If you are caught stealing by the store clerk, you will be forced to pay for the item. This will not cause your warrant to increase, so you can try it whenever you want.

Get Items for Free If You Don't Have Enough Fons

If you don't have enough Fons to purchase an item, you can select Confirm on the purchase screen to receive the item without spending any Fons. You can Take Without Permission at no risk, so we recommend trying this when you have fewer Fons than the item's price.

Repeats Upon Choosing the Wrong Option

If you select any option to put it back, this will cancel the stealing option. The item will remain on the shelf and you can try to steal it again.

Option to Steal May Not Appear

During the mini game, there's a chance that no "Pick up" or "Take" options will appear. In instances like this, choose the option where the clerk looks at you such as "Bump into shelves accidentally" or "Drop it accidentally".

Locations You can Steal From

2-Four Convenience Store

2-Four Convenience Store has items that can be used in battle, such as those that can give HP Recovery or Crit boosts. They have a lot of locations and the items are fairly cheap so they're great for those who want to try shoplifting for the first time.

Bamboo Pharmacy (Drug Store)

The Bamboo Pharmacy has items that can be used for battle, but are generally pricier and more potent in effects. Try to steal from them whenever you spot one.

Tofuan (Tofuan Coffee Bean Shop)

Tofuan has ingredients that can be used in The Cafe by Origen, such as coffee beans and milk. It's not recommended to steal from them since The Cafe by Origen requires high quantities of ingredients, making it easier to just buy them.

Alice's Baker (Cake Shop)

Every item in Alice's Baker is a recovery item. There are no shelves around the store and the shop is quite small. It's better to run as soon as you steal to not get caught.

DSD (Toy Shop)

In DSD, you can get figure that can be displayed in either your house or at the 9°C Coffee. However, these are expensive and can cost up to 10,000 Fons, so be careful not to get caught when stealing.
