How to Increase Bond Levels
Gain Affection Points to Level Up
To raise a character's Bond Level in NTE, you need to gain Affection Points. Once you accumulate a certain amount, the character's Bond Level will increase, allowing you to obtain stat boosts and items.
How to Check Bond Level
You can check a character's Bond Level on their profile or by tapping Bond in the main menu to open the Bond screen.
Give Gifts
You can give gifts up to 10 times a day (3 times per character), so we recommend prioritizing the characters you want to level up and giving them gifts daily.
What to Do DailyGive Preferred Gifts
To gain Affection Points efficiently, give characters their preferred gifts. Compared to non-preferred gifts, preferred gifts grant more Affection Points.
Zero's Life Skills Increases Affection
Enhancing your Esper Zero's Life Skills will increase the Affection Points gained from gifts for characters with a Bond Level below a certain threshold. This is an efficient way to raise the Bond Levels of characters you've just started building a relationship with.

Interact with Characters in the City
Clearing conversation events (Encounters) unlocks items in the Memory Theater under Bond Interactions and also grants you Affection Points.
Requires Clearing Various Quests
While some Memory Theater entries can be unlocked just by obtaining the character and completing Encounters, in other cases, clearing the Main Story, Bond Quests, or Spinoff Quests is also required.
Place and Interact in My Room
You can interact with characters by placing them in My Room. A character can be placed in My Room once their Bond Level reaches 4. Additionally, some interactions have their own requirements, such as reaching a certain number of Affection Points or owning specific furniture.
Home & Property GuideGo on City Hangouts Once a Day
City Hangouts are a date feature available with select characters once their Bond Level meets the required conditions. You can go on one City Hangout per character per day, earning Affection Points each time without spending Fons. Once City Hangouts are unlocked for a character, make it a daily habit to take advantage of them.

At Yuanmu Hill in the New Herland District, you can purchase a Wish Plaque for 2,000 Fons and pray at the Fortune Shades to raise a random character's Affection by 50. This can only be done once per day. It is less efficient than giving gifts, but since ways to raise Affection are limited, it's worth doing daily if you have the Fons to spare.

The Fortune Shades prayer can only be performed at night. Wish Plaques are sold by the NPC vendor Zhilan, who stands near the ema board beside the Fortune Shades tree on Yuanmu Hill.

Bond Leveling Benefits
Increases Character Stats
Reaching Bond Level 10 grants a character a stat boost. Depending on the character, their ATK, Crit Rate, DEF, or HP will increase.
Obtain Currency and Upgrade Materials
As Bond rewards, you can obtain items like Annulith, Beetle Coins, Elite Hunter Guides, and Dreamless Seed. These are useful for enhancing your characters.
Unlock New Features
As Bond rewards, you can unlock a character's Passenger Seat Feature, basic actions, Home Invitation, and special interactions. Once Home Invitation is unlocked, you can gain more Affection Points through interactions in My Room.
Obtain Stickers and Icons
As Bond rewards, you can obtain character-specific stickers, icons, icon frames, and profile themes. These elements are not directly related to strength, but they are great for customizing your profile with items related to your favorite characters.
Unlocks City Hangouts
City Hangouts (Dates) are unlocked when a character's Bond Level meets the required conditions. Note that this feature is only available for certain characters.
