Cross Platform

In Pokemon Unite, cross platform play between Nintendo Switch & mobile (iOS & Android) is possible. This means that Switch players and mobile players can play together.

The great news is that you don't need to have a Nintendo Online membership to be able to play Unite on either platforms!

Is Cross Progression Available?

Cross Progression Is Available

You can transfer your saved data from Nintendo Switch to your mobile device by logging in to a Nintendo or Pokemon Trainer Club Account which has your account progression saved on it.

Players who were able to obtain a Zeraora Unite License during the Nintendo Switch Launch will also be able to use Zeraora when linking accounts in the mobile version of the game.

Recommended Platform For Crossplay

Which Platform Is Better?

Both devices have their own respective pros and cons. If your mobile phone has somewhat lower specs, it's probably preferred to use a Switch. However, using mobile devices might be easier, as you’ll be able to more precisely target skill-shots.

Device Comparison Table

SwitchPros:
- Bigger screen
- Controller
- TV Mode available
 (Except for Switch Lite)

Cons:
- Mobile has better portability
MobilePros:
- Portable
- Touch screen controls

Cons:
- Latency issues
 (Depends on the device)
- Smaller screen

Controller Support Available For Both Devices

Both the Nintendo Switch and the mobile version of the game can support first party or third party controllers. Although it is possible for the mobile device, it is recommended to use the mobile layout for a better gaming experience!
