What Are Pings In-Game

Means Of Communicating With The Team

It Can Be Used To Communicate With The Team

Pings in Unite are used to communicate with your team. They're carried out by moving the cursor over the minimap and press A. They are very useful for informing your team of your intentions in the game.

How To Ping

Located On The Top Left Side Of The Screen

The Ping function can be located on the top left side of the screen. By pressing the "-" button you'll expand the mini map and from there you should be able to see a cursor on the map and move it with the right analog stick then press the "A" button to confirm the command and indicate to the team where you're going/want them to go.

5 Seconds Cooldown

5 Seconds Cooldown

↑ The above is the default notification interface that pops up when you press the up arrow. It can allow you to communicate more specific instructions to your team.

When using the ping button you will incur a 5 second cooldown before it can be used again. Take note to use it when the time is right and refrain from spamming it!

List Of Pings Notification

Ping NotifcationsDetails
Defend Our Goal ZoneThis is usually prompted when one of the team aims the cursor map on one of your goal zones.
BlastoiseNeedsBackupThis appears when you or other members of your team pointed the cursor over your own Pokemon.
Check It OutThis Ping appears when you point your cursor on the map anywhere.
AttackFroakieThis appears when you or other members of your team point the cursor over your opponent's Pokemon.
This ping appears when you or other members of your team point the cursor over any of the Boss Pokemon in the map.

These are just some of the Pings that can be prompted during the match. By communicating your intentions this way, you're more likely to succeed, so make sure to use this feature assertively!
