Great Rank - Battle Tips

Tips To Do During A Match
1.▼ Attack Drednaw Upon Spawning
2.▼ Recover When HP Is Low
3.▼ Other Must-Know Tips

1. Attack Drednaw Upon Spawning

Prioritizing defeating Drednaw as it grants your whole team EXP and a shield that can help you push. Try to immediately group up and defeat it after it spawns at the 7-minute mark.

How To Defeat Drednaw Guide

Get Wild Pokemon During Stalemates

 Farm Wild Pokemon

If either team finds it hard to get Drednaw, make good use of your time by getting the nearby Wild Pokemon. Try to do this smartly as you don't want Drednaw to be open to the enemy team. Make use of your time and use it to raise your EXP and gain the advantage to defeat Drednaw faster.

How To Level Up Fast Guide

Last Hit Captures Drednaw

Take note that overall damage won't matter if your opponents get the last hit. For this option, it's better to defeat your opponents and protect Drednaw first before capturing it. Or if you feel confident, you charge in for the last hit. However, this can also not end well as you might find yourself surrounded by enemies.

2. Recover When HP Is Low

Avoid Being Defeated

Your opponents gain EXP and Aeos Energy Points whenever they down a Pokemon from your team. Don't be the one to give them that advantage. Always be mindful of your HP and try not to wander far off without any allies with you. Make use of nearby goals to heal HP whenever you find yourself in trouble.

Use Sitrus Berries To Recover HP

There are Sitrus Berries to be found behind the first goal zone in both top and bottom lanes. Be sure to use this often when your HP is low to avoid being KO'd easily when retreating. Note that they disappear once the first goal disappears.

Yellow Berry (Sitrus)

Use Back To Base When HP Is Very Low

Return To Base When Hidden

If your HP is critically low, you can teleport back to your base instantly by using "Return To Base" button. However, there is a 4-second countdown when returning to base instantly and it will be interrupted when you get hit by a move. Hiding in the grass before returning can help you escape without being seen by your opponents.

3. Must-Know Tips

Other Things To Be Aware Of
1.▼ Don't Fight Higher Level Opponents
2.▼ Retreat If Outnombered
3.▼ Don't Fight Alone
4.▼ Defeat All Wild Pokemon
5.▼ Always Check The Announcement

Don't Fight Higher Level Opponents

Avoid any encounters against your opponents whose level is higher than yours. To avoid this, make sure to check their levels before initiating a fight.

Retreat If Outnumbered

Fight disadvantage

Retreat without fighting back if your team is outnumbered. Even if your level is higher, the number of players is still important in a battle as they can easily overpower you with sheer number of moves.

Don't Fight Alone

KO

Don't go solo in the whole duration of the match especially during the final stretch as the KO time increases during the latter stages of a fight. Group up and use your team's numbers to your advantage.

Defeat All Wild Pokemon

Try to defeat all Wild Pokemon on your side as much as possible to gain more EXP and get the advantage for the whole duration of the match. The goal is to unlock your best skills as soon as you can, so try to grind for EXP as much as you can.

Always Check The Announcement

Announcement 5 minutes

During the 5-minute, 3-minute, and 2-minute mark of the game, an announcement about the game's status is displayed. This shows if you are in the lead, close battle, or if you are losing the match. Keep an eye on this one to know what you need to do during the remaining minutes of a match.

5 Useful Techniques To Master

Important Things To Remember

Be Cool During Matches

The thing about Ranked Matches is that the competition to raise your Rank Class can get heated causing you to lose composure. Try to play calmly and always think what's best for the team. Remember that this is a short 10-minute match and you can always try again next time.

Take A Break If On A Losing Streak

If you find yourself in a losing streak, try to cool off for a bit and avoid taking Ranked Match for a short while. Not being in the right state can cause you to play negatively, pushing your rank further down. Try to fight during normal matches or practice with bots for a bit before participating in Ranked Matches again.

Don't Blame Your Losses On Your Teammates

There's nothing we can do if we lose the match and nothing's going to change if we blame our losses on our teammates. Instead, think about what should you improve to gain the victory in your next round. Either by trying a new strategy, being extra careful, or trying a different Pokemon, etc.

Play Aggressively To Get Better

By continuing participating in matches, play aggressively so you can get a grip on what your Pokemon is capable of in any situation. Don't be afraid to lose matches, but don't commit the same mistakes to win the match!
