Importance Of Healing

Lets You Avoid Being KO'D

HP explanation

When your HP reaches zero, your Pokemon will be defeated and forced to respawn at the base after a certain amount of time. It goes without saying that this is very disadvantageous to both you and your team.

KO Opponents To Gain The Advantage

The best defense is a good offense - meaning that it can sometimes be preferable to just take out the enemies in front of you to have more opportunity and leeway to recover your health.

Ways To Heal HP

  • Return To The Base
  • Use Sitrus Berry
  • Use The Team's Goal Zone
  • Score A Goal
  • Use Pokemon Moves
  • Use a Potion
  • Equip Held Items

Return To The Base

Return To The Base Healing HP

Your starting base will heal your Pokemon up to full, and has a barrier held up that prevents opponents from entering. Recall back to the base to quickly heal up if your HP is critically low.

How To Recall / Return To Base

Use Sitrus Berries

Sitrus Berries give 1500 HP when walked into. These will regularly respawn behind goals, so use them regularly.

Use The Team's Goal Zone

Goal Zones give your Pokemon a shield and heal them by 200 points at the first goal, 400 points in the middle goal, and 600 points at the last goal. Use the goal zones to heal while stalling for time until your allies return to the fight.

Score A Goal

Another way of healing HP using Goal Zones is by scoring at an enemy goal. The main objective of the match is to score more points while defending your own goal, which means this is a very proactive method of healing up your Pokemon. However, make sure to check if there are any enemies around the goal before scoring.

Use Pokemon Moves

Use Pokemon Moves

Some Pokemon have moves that heal their own HP or the HP of nearby allies. Even if the HP recovered isn't as great as using berries or returning to base, this can be used in team fights or to flee from opponents!

Use The Potion

Use Potion

Using the battle item "Potion" can help you recover a little HP. It is recommended to use them when in dire situations especially when your HP is critically low. Note that not this item isn't recommended on all Pokemon, but is very useful in early levels when you haven't unlocked other battle items.
