Moves | |
Lv. 6 | ![]() Has the user unleash a special, hot ball of fire in a forward direction. If it hits an opposing Pokémon, the fire will explode, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect. Cooldown: 4.5 seconds |
Lv. 7 | ![]() Has the user create a vortex of fire in the designated area. The vortex automatically moves toward the nearest opposing Pokémon, dealing damage over time to all opposing Pokémon caught in the area of effect for a short time and decreasing their movement speed. After a set amount of time passes or an opposing Pokémon is caught in the center of the vortex, the flames increase in intensity. This increases the rate at which the flames deal damage over time, and it also leaves the opposing Pokémon unable to act for a short time. Cooldown: 8 seconds |

Fast Cooldown With Mystical Fire
Take advantage of Mystical Fire's high turnover rate to continuously dish out damage on the battlefield. Take note that when you upgrade this move you'll be able to further reduce its cooldown thus making it useful during the late stages as you can use it as much as you can. Furthermore, it deals high damage
Automatic Follow Target With Fire Spin
You can use Delphox as a disabler at the backlines with Fire Spin. Aside from the burst damage, there's a chance you can stun targets caught within it not to mention it follows the target if they tried to escape. You can use this to force key players to flee and lose their position in battle or isolate them from their allies.
Held Items To Maximize Firepower
Enhance Delphox's firepower with Choice Specs to increase your Sp. Atk and add a minimum of 40 damage to moves when they hit. When paired with Wise Glasses, this will further increase the Sp. Atk by at least 3% and enhance the damage output. Focus Band on the other hand will provide additional defense and HP recovery when Delphox gets pressured from the battle.
Battle Item For Mobility
Since Delphox doesn't have escape tools at hand with the above moveset, equipping Eject Button will give you an additional move to be able to dash forwards in any direction. It's versatile so you can experiment with it and use it in different situations such as chasing down targets, fleeing past pursuers, and quickly repositioning yourself in battle.

Hit Them With Fire Blast!
This Delphox's move enables you to launch powerful fireballs in any direction, dealing damage to any opponent Pokemon on its path. It has a good range so you can use this to snipe down objectives and targets fleeing from you. You can also use this to kite down opponents while maintaining a safe distance from them.
Burn Enemies In Your Fire Spin
You'll find this useful when you are against multiple enemies. When the enemy team gathers, activate Fire Spin to create a vortex of fire in the area to inflict damage over time to numerous Pokemon. It also has a speed debuff, so take advantage of this to apply crowd controls, especially on agile opponents like Speedsters, so enemies lose momentum in battle. This way you'll be able to create opportunities for your allies to attack as well.
Held Items To Enhance Special Attack
As a Special Attacker, it's best to equip Delphox with Held Items that would further enhance its firepower. Choice Specs is a great choice for this as it increases the damage of moves by a minimum of 40 when they hit. Furthermore, the higher the Pokemon's Sp. Atk, the more the damage is increased. To do this, pair this up with Wise Glasses to increase your Sp. Attack by 3%.
Battle Item For Extra Mobility
Delphox moveset might be great for maintaining a safe distance but Speedsters and other opponents with dash moves are able to get near and deal damage. Eject Button will give you the ability to sprint away from pursuers in any direction quickly. You can also use it to chase down fleeing targets.

Hurl Mystical Fire Into Lanes!
Send out a large ball of fire in any direction with Mystical Fire to deal immense damage to any unfortunate target it strikes. Its range makes it easy to snipe down opponents and finish off-targets with the considerable damage it does.
Dash Through The Lanes With Flame Charge
This move enables Delphox to dash forward so you'll definitely find it useful in chasing down targets in the lane since you'll be able to close the gap quickly. Anyone on the receiving end of the dash will be attacked with three flames. Furthermore, you can use it together with Mystical Fire at the same time! Not to mention that it can be used as an escape tool in times of need. You can get experimental and versatile with this move as it has a lot of potential in battle.
Balance Out Delphox Abilities With These Held Items!
You can increase the damage of Delphox's moves by a minimum of 40 when you equip Choice Specs. Since you'll do a lot of dashing in and getting close to enemies, it's best when you use Focus Band to strengthen up your defenses not to mention it recovers 8% of the HP you may lose when Delphox's HP gets low. Buddy Barrier will be useful in team battles whenever you use your Unite Move as it provides a protective barrier not only for Delphox but also for nearby allies, thus extending your battle time which can be quite critical to turn the tables in close battles.
Battle Items For More Speed
Since you have Flame Charge you can use as an escape tool, you can further increase your speed with X Speed. This will also prevent you from getting speed debuffs from enemies as they get nullified once you activated this Battle Item. This can further help you escape aggressive pursuers and prevent you from losing momentum in battle. Likewise, you can use this to catch up to targets, especially when you are struggling with objectives with your lane opponents.

Launch Fire Blast
Enables Delphox to shoot powerful fires ahead, delivering damage to any opponent it hits. As the fire travels, it creates a zone of flames in which a delayed explosion occurs, dealing damage to anyone within the area of effect. Use this to kite targets and last-hit objectives.
Chase Enemies With Flame Charge
You get to dash through the lanes with Flame Charge. Anyone on the receiving end will have to face three attack flames that deal damage while also decreasing enemy movement speed for a limited duration. Furthermore, this move can be used simultaneously with Fire Blast. Thus this makes it a great offensive move with its chase potential.
Held Items To Improve Combat
Delphox, as a Special Attacker, should be equipped with Held Items to boost its capabilities. Choice Specs is an excellent option for this because it boosts the damage of moves by at least 40 when they impact. Furthermore, the stronger the Pokemon's Sp. Atk, the greater the damage. To achieve this, combine it with Wise Glasses to raise your Sp. Attack by 3%. Buddy Barrie in the meantime will provide you with additional HP and a shield equal to 20% of your max HP whenever you use Delphox's Unite Move. This shield not only applies to your Pokemon but also to nearby allies as well, enabling your team to prevent absorbing too much damage, especially during close encounters.
Battle Item For Mobility
You can improve your speed and mobility further with X Speed since you have Flame Charge to dash. This will also prevent you from receiving enemy speed debuffs since they will be eliminated as you use this Battle Item. This might help you avoid aggressive pursuers and maintain your momentum in combat. Similarly, you may utilize this to catch up to targets, especially if you're having difficulty with objectives with your lane opponents.

Delphox Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths |
---|
・ Fire Spin has a feature that it follows the target after being casted on the area. This enables the damage over time to inflict the target longer and prevent them from evading its adverse effects. ・ Moves & Unite Move has a short cooldown rate enabling you to use them more frequently in battle compared to other Pokemon. Its move Mystical Fire also has an additional cooldown reduction when upgraded so you can keep up with the aggressive battles during the final stages. ・ Can dash in any direction with Flame Charge which can be also used as an escape tool during tough situations. ・ Great crowd control abilities, especially with Fanciful Fireworks that also hinder enemies caught within its AoE from recovering lost HP, which creates opportunities for its allies during team battles. |
Weaknesses |
・ Has low endurance to burst damage and doesn't have much escape tool aside from Flame Charge. ・ Speedsters or even other Pokemon with high mobility may easily dodge its skill shots with their dash moves or Eject Button. So you'll need to time ranged attacks or get help from an ally like Slowbro to hold down enemies to hit them successfully. ・ Its Unite Move's damage alone is not enough to take down an enemy and may not be at par compared to other attackers so you'll need additional firepower to take advantage of its effects instead. |
Recommended Lanes
The number of ★ shows the level on a particular route area.
Lane | Route Details |
---|---|
![]() | Recommendation level:★★★ The upper route is less likely to have aggressive battle compared to the lower route making it easier for Fennekin to be able to reach level 6 or 7 by the first Drednaw battle. Choose this route if you want to level up safely. |
![]() | Recommendation level: ★★・ You will most certainly be able to reach level 7 by the first Drednaw battle since there's no team battles happening in this area. However, instead of relying on jungling, Fennekin 's early game performance is best used in battle. You can give this section to more agile Pokemon who can better navigate it and move to the main pathways as necessary. |
![]() | Recommendation level: ★★★ Fennekin has a high fighting ability in the early stages, allowing it to carry the team in most bottom-lane clashes. This is the best path since you can swiftly KO Audinos with moves like Fire Blast or Mystical Fire allowing you to quickly unlock Espeon's entire moveset. |
Fennekin (Lv 1~) Strategy
Pick Will-O-Wisp First
Although Ember is an equally great offensive move, Will-O-Wisp is the more certain choice as it deals damage while also decreasing the movement speed of your target for a short time. This will be useful in slowing down the first two Aipoms at the start as they tend to get away from you when attacked, You may choose to then follow up with Ember which would deal additional damage.
Generally Best To Attack From A Distance
Although you can deal with powerful hits even at the beginning of the game, you will find that your endurance is on the lower end. Avoid close fights and generally try to keep your distance as you inflict continuous damage on your opponents.
Aim For The Last Hit!
Braixen has a high damage output during the early stages making it easy to win battles for the last hit on wild Pokemon when struggling with your lane opponents. This way you'll be able to gain experience points early to make your evolve faster.
Braixen (Lv 6~) Strategy
Moves Get More Powerful From Lv6 Onward
Your initial 2 offensive moves will get upgraded to their more powerful versions once you reach level 6. Your second move will come one short level after, at 7. This is your main power spike, so you'll want to try to reach this level as fast as possible and be of use to your team.
Send Out Fire Blasts!
Fire Blast has a wide AoE damage that leaves a trail of flames on its way. You can use it to inflict damage to gathering enemies on the way with the delayed explosion.
Take Advantage Of Mystical Fire's Low Cooldown Rate!
Aside from its high damage output, you can further decrease its already short cooldown rate whenever this move hits when you upgrade this move when you reach Lv. 11! Quite useful especially during the final stages when the battle gets too aggressive between the two teams.
Delphox (Lv 7~) Strategy
Adapt Your Build To Your Attack Style
At level 7 you'll get a choice between Fire Spin & Flame Charge. Flame Charge will let you jump in on enemies, providing Delphox with better chase potential. Fire Spin is a safer alternative, as it simply does damage at a long range. Consider adjusting your 2nd move depending on which one you pick here.
Fire Spin |

Lv 7: ![]() Has the user create a vortex of fire in the designated area. This increases the rate at which the flames deal damage over time, and it also leaves the opposing Pokemon unable to act for a short time. Upgrade Effect: Increases the damage this move deals to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect when its flames have intensified. Cooldown 8 seconds |
Flame Charge |
Lv 7: ![]() Has the user charge forward in the designated direction. If there are any opposing Pokémon in range when the charge ends, the user summons three flames to attack. The flames deal damage and decrease opposing Pokémon's movement speed for a short time. This move can be used while also using Fire Blast or Mystical Fire. Upgrade Effect: Increases the user's movement speed for a short time when this move is used. Cooldown 5 seconds |
Basic Turn-Around Of Moves
Dish out long-range attacks from behind an ally with high endurance or defense. Always keep in mind that you can evade your opponent's attacks by using the Eject Button or Flame Charge to get out of the way quickly.
Mystical Fire + Fire Spin Build
Delphox builds that are coordinated to take advantage of its high cooldown and stuns to deal intense damage to its target. Start off with Fire Spin to deal damage and potentially stun targets in place so you can hit them successfully with Mystical Fire, this way you can pressure your target's HP from a safe distance. You can use it to kite melee opponents to avoid getting damaged. Then follow it up again with Fire Spin to disable their moves should they try to counterattack.
Mystical Fire + Flame Charge Build
Delphox's Build that focuses on its ranged attacks and high damage output on top of its short cooldown rate. Mystical Fire has a good range, so you may use it to snipe objectives and enemies fleeing from Delphox. This may also be used to kite opponents from a safe distance. When faced with multiple opponents or Pokemon with high mobility, Fire Spin can help you slow them down while inflicting them damage over time with this move.
Fire Blast + Fire Spin Build
This Delphox's moveset focuses on its firepower. Start off with Fire Blast to chip away the enemy's HP. Its long has a long range so you can use this to kite them from a safe distance. After that, when they get too close you can activate Fire Spin to deal damage. It also follows the targets so its very convenient compared to other AoE's since the effects won't be interrupted when they try to move outside the vortex of flames.
Fire Blast + Flame Charge Build
This Delphox combo focuses on its firepower arsenal in battle. You can simultaneously use Flame Charge with Fire Blast so make use of this mechanic as much as possible to extend your moves and deal huge damage to the receiving end. In normal situations, you can close the gap between Delphox and your target with Flame Charge. Then you can hit them with Fire Blast to deal additional damage to further pressure their HP. Fire Blast has a wide AoE so you can use this against multiple opponents on the lane or on gathering crowds when both teams struggle for the last hit on objectives. When faced with counter Pokemon, you can use Fire Blast in the back to avoid getting knocked out in the process.
Unite Move: Fanciful Fireworks
Fanciful Fireworks also has a short waiting time so you'll be able to use it more often even without the use of an Energy Amplifier. It has a wide area of effect you can use to inflict damage over time to multiple opponents during team battles. Its speed debuff works great on slowing down mobile opponents like Greedent so you can effectively hit them with skill shots from moves like Fire Blast. Aside from that, it has an additional effect that weakens the HP recovery rate of opponents so they won't be able to recover and will be much easier to take down even if they try to heal themselves as long as they are within the vortex. Make sure to save it up during the Final Stages in the last 3-minute mark as it will definitely be useful to set up opportunities for your allies as well during the Zapdos fight.
