Static Encounters In The Isle Of Armor What Are Static Encounters? The term "Static Encounter" simply refers to Pokemon that always spawns in one location (hence, static). Some of these can be avoided, while others will assertively try to bump into you. They are considered more "special" than a regular Pokemon encounter.
Habitat Not Listed In The Pokedex If you caught a Pokemon from a Static Encounter, their habitat will not be listed in their Pokedex entry. Static Encounters can be a way of getting fully evolved Pokemon, and some Pokemon can only be caught this way.
Change With The Weather Static Encounter Pokemon will change according to the weather currently in the zone. Check the weather by pressing "+" on the map screen.
They Spawn Almost Everywhere Static Encounters will spawn in almost all types of locations, including the sky, land, and water.
Disappear If You Run Away ↑ The Wailord in Workout Sea will disappear if you engage with it. It is not known when it will respawn.
Pokemon from Static Encounters will disappear if you run away or end the encounter. Once they're gone, they will not respawn until the day changes, so be careful. Note that there are some cases when the Static Encounter doesn't respawn on the next day. We are still investigating this phenomenon.
