1. Update Game Software

First thing you have to do is check if your game software is updated. Exit the application then start it again, you'll be prompted for an update. If not, check for updates in the game's system options!

2. Head Inside Wedgehurst Station

Head Inside Wedgehurst Station

Once the update is over, fly over to Wedgehurst and head inside the Wedgehurst Station. You'll get a short cutscene with a new character you've never met before.

3. Talk To Klara Or Avery

Talk To Klara Or Avery

Talk to Klara (Pokemon Sword) or Avery (Pokemon Shield) to initiate the entrance of the Galarian Slowpoke. The Pokemon will only appear when you speak to this NPC.

4. Best To Breed For High IVs

Best To Breed For High IV Galarian Slowpoke

Instead of save-scrumming for a High IV Galarian Slowpoke, it's recommended to breed one instead. This will save you time and let you have more freedom in breeding your Galarian Slowpoke.

5. Can Be Captured As Many Times

Use Any Pokeball to Catch Galarian Slowpoke

Galarian Slowpoke will appear at level 12 so Great Balls & Ultra Balls will capture the Pokemon easily if you have them already. You can repeat this battle as many times as you want.

Galarian Slowpoke is the Galarian form of the Slowpoke found in previous titles. Its appetite for the Galarica seeds (a kind of spice) for generations has altered its appearance and behavior in comparison to normal Slowpoke.

Evolves Into Galarian Slowbro Or Galarian Slowking

With an item found in The Isle of Armor, Galarian Slowpoke can evolve into a Galarian Slowbro. Another item found in The Crown Tundra will evolve it into Galarian Slowking instead.

Galarian Slowpoke will be a Psychic Type Pokemon due its diet affecting its brain to have great idea, only to forget them soon after. It also has 2 abilities based on its lifestyle.

Galarian Slowpoke Abilities:

GluttonyThe Pokemon eats certain HP restoring berries when at 50% health.
Own TempoPrevents the Pokémon from becoming confused.

May Have Poison Type As Well?

As Galarian Slowpoke favors a type of plant know as Galarica seeds (a kind of spice), it may also get Poison type like other Pokemon that has a distinct diet.
