How To Get Max Mushrooms

Found In Forest Of Focus During Story

You can get Max Mushroom in Forest of Focus. Look for shiny large mushroom.

Get Some During The Story

By simply progressing through the story you'll get 3 Max Mushrooms. It's not necessary to use these to clear the story, so you might as well save them up.

Spawn In Some Areas After Clearing The Story

After clearing the Isle of Armor story, more Max Mushrooms will start to grow. The place they spawn within a given subzone is not fixed, so make sure to look through the entire zone thoroughly!

Respawn After Max Raid Battles

Once you pick up a Max Mushroom, it will disappear. However, more mushrooms will spawn after you complete a certain number of Max Raid Battles. We're not sure the exact number yet, so your best bet is just to do as many as you can and check for respawns!

How To Find Max Mushroom For 2nd Trial

How To Find Max Mushrooms For Second Trial

In order to finish the 2nd trial, you need to find Max Mushroom and bring it back to Mustard. You can find Max Mushroom at Warm-Up Tunnel.

Added In The Isle Of Armor DLC

Max Mushrooms were added to Pokemon Sword and Shield through the new Isle of Armor DLC. The DLC will be live on June 17, 2020.

Found along one of the corridors of the cavern, near the water on the 2nd floor.

Near the wide open area with a big rock in the center.

The place where you got the mushroom during the story quest. To the left of the main road.

Forest of Focus

Places We Found Mushrooms

Mushrooms spawn randomly all over the Forest of Focus. The above pictures are two locations we found them, but you'll probably have to explore every nook and cranny of the area.

Efficient Mushroom Farming Route

①	Check Brawlers' Cave
②	Check the Warm-Up Tunnel
③	Check the Courageous Cavern
④	Explore the Forest of Focus

Note that even if you do several Max Raid Battles, your mushrooms might not respawn. If this happens, just keep trying over and over.

Prioritize Brawlers' Cave and Warm-Up Tunnel

Since Brawlers' Cave and Warm-Up Tunnel are so close to each other, it's worth checking both of them first. You can fly to the Tower of Darkness, so this should be your starting point.

Courageous Caverns -> Forest of Focus

After you've done the first two, head to Courageous Caverns. You can fly to the Tower of Water and get there pretty easily. Afterward, save the Forest of Focus for last, as it has the most area you need to cover.

Max Mushrooms - Uses & Effects

Ingredient For Max Soup

Max Mushrooms are a required ingredient for making Max Soup. This is a really useful item for people who do ranked battles!

A Somewhat Rare Item

Max Mushrooms are somewhat hard to find after clearing the story. They respawn over time and there aren't very many of them, so if you happen to see one on the field, immediately pick it up!
