What Are Max Moves?

Special Moves Used By Dynamax Pokemon

Dynamax Pikachu

Max Moves are attacks which can only be used by a Pokemon during Dynamax. Depending on the type of the attack, your Pokemon's moves will change!

All Max Moves Have Secondary Effects

Each type move will have a different effect. Some of them will improve your stats while others can change the weather conditions on the battlefield.

Max Move Examples

Max Guard

Max Guard

This is a Normal move which defends your Pokemon from all attacks for one turn, similar to the existing move Protect.

Max Strike

This is a Normal type attack, which has the secondary effect of lowering your opponent's speed.

Max Geyser

This is a Water-type move which makes it rain on the battlefield, powering up water moves!

Max Knuckle

This is a Fighting-type move which has the secondary effect of increasing the Attack of Pokemon on your team.
